Christmas Morning 2013
This was the first year that LJ really really understood 'Christmas morning'- the concept of Santa having come in the middle of the night and leaving him gifts. It was so cute! And honestly, I think Barrett and I were the most excited! We got up early, made a little snack plate for the boys, and had everything set up before we went upstairs to get them. We headed up to get them at about 7:45 am. We actually had to wake up Evan (had to be at Queenie and Grandad's in about 45 mins), but LJ was awake playing in his bed (very common for him!). LJ asked immediately if Santa had come! "Let's go see!!"
He found them!
Playing with Evan's new toy from Santa...
A shirt for my "Duck Dynasty" obsessed hubby!
Opening gift from Granny...
Both boys LOVE these dinosaurs!
From mom and dad...
Tennis racket like moms'!
Evan got Pete the Cat!
Shovel - a new favorite!!
Only took about 2 minutes outside with their new yard tools for way too much dirt to be in our driveway! We will have to work on where/ how to use these best!!
We had about 45 minutes of fun at our house, and then we headed over to Queenie and Grandad's house to open gifts with the family and have breakfast. All the kids have to wait in the kitchen at their house until everyone is there to go into the den to see what is waiting by the tree (and we were the first to arrive).
Then everyone got there- and they are off!!
This is the beautiful scene the kids get to walk in to! How special and what lucky kids!! EAch on has a little pile just for them! Of course, this order did not last long!
Let the chaos begin!!
LJ first found his new kitchen/ shopping cart from the Benzons- so excited to start cooking!
Evan enjoying his new gifts too!
LJ's first board game from Robinsons!
Locke checking out his keys from us...
Girls opening their bags from us and the Robinsons...
First 15 minutes were absolutely crazy- and that did not include the gifts from Queenie and Grandad!!
LJ opening his new Harley tricycle thing...
Evan opening his new piano!
Immediate hit!!
Presents are great- but most exciting things are always the boxes they come in!!
Eagles!
Boxes are even the most exciting for the girls!
Lauren disappeared into this one for a while... Evan thought it was way too funny!!
Love these new block things from Q & G...
Laurie (Eagle Sr mom) and Locke...
After way to much excitement, we got to sit down to a wonderful family breakfast!
After breakfast, I attempted some pictures... Girls with the 'littles' (as we call Locke and Evan)
Attempting to get a cousin shot! Not easy...
So Barrett got on the couch to help... it worked!!
I love these!!
Beautiful Kate (9) and Lauren (7)
Then I forced the three siblings to pose for me- they did with reluctance!
So I teasingly said (quoting from Zoolander), "You're a monkey!" And they did it!! Ha!
Had to keep going! "YOU'RE A TIGER!!!" I love these pictures! Haha!
I am so SO blessed to call all these beautiful people my family!!
Time to say good-bye! We had to get the boys home and napping so we could catch our flight to El Paso that afternoon! Few more minutes of playing together....
Hugs good-bye!

Then as we tried to leave, we realized my car battery died!! Ah! Left the door open after loading the car with presents and battery did not make it :( Thanks so much to Q & G for all their help getting home! Battery will be replaced while we are out of town, and lesson learned!
Thanks so so much to all of our amazing family for making this such a special time!! We love you all so much and are so grateful!!
