After tennis, LJ and I joined Barrett and Evan at the mall to finally use the boys' Christmas gift-certificates to build-A-Bear. Evan didn't like any of the stuffed animals very much, but he did find a little ball he wouldn't let go of!!  LJ, on the other hand, liked so many of them that he had a hard time picking his favorite! He finally settled on 'Spider Bear'... his fur has Spiderman all over it! Giving Spider Bear a bath... this is a new station since we were here last! Entering all Spider Bear's info into the computer so we could get his Birth Certificate.... it's official, and he is ours now! Evan loved this hat he found walking around the store... wouldn't take it off.  After naps, we got to go celebrate the precious Kate McDonnell's 2nd birthday at her party at Champions Gymnastic Studio. The boys (and parents) all had a blast! We started with fun in the foam pit... the boys LOVED this thing!

Our first Saturday back in Austin (after a month in El Paso) was a very full and fun one! We started with a tennis lesson for LJ. LJ said he was excited to go, and he did pretty well. The hard part was Evan! Evan did not understand why he didn't get to participate in the lesson, and he wanted on the court so badly! Evan started crying because he wanted to play so badly, so he and Barrett went off to the side and played for a while together! Then after a taco and coffee break, we headed to the state Capital Visitor Center for a book signing and to tour the museum inside.  Evan loved the displays and had so much fun running around! He was so excited to show LJ what he had discovered! Then we found a saddle to sit on! Add a hat and vest! Hilarious! Downstairs to our book signing and craft. The boys made binoculars out of toilet paper rolls, tape, and string... and love them!!
