Post Christmas Fun... 2015

Image
The week after Christmas we kept busy with our new gifts, played outside enjoying the weather, fought off a stomach bug, had 1 or 2 days of gymnastics camp for the boys, and we enjoyed lots of family time!  One of their Christmas gifts (that I may be more excited about than the boys) is a kit of science experiments! This was our first one... We were learning about how the color of the liquid changes as the pH changed (or as it becomes more acidic or basic).  LJ has asked to do this one a couple times!  Enjoying some outside time!  Some days Ellie's hair is looking pretty cute!!  Ellie got 2 new dolls for Christmas, and I can't tell who loves them more- her or Evan! He has named this one Sara, and he often gets home, takes her on a walk in her stroller, rocks her, and then puts her to sleep. SO very sweet!!! If Ellie sees her brothers doing something, she insists on trying it too! And she is getting demanding!!!  This also goe

Christmas School Crafts

Here is some of the art work, ornaments, and other crafts that the boys brought home this December.  This one was actually done by Evan, but LJ loves it!   A Christmas tree made out of a paper roll... this one was in Evan's room all month! He loved it!       A nativity scene - I love this one!   LJ's Christmas tree and gingerbread boy...  This ornament is so great! I Love it!!  Four ornaments from Evan's class and Rudolph things out of different shapes.   Evan's class did letters to God and letters to Santa- love it!!   LJ did this gingerbread boy... I LOVE how on all of LJ's crafts, he writes his AND Evan's name!! And he often also writes either Thomas or Hudson (Hudson is spelled on the left going bottom to top!). His teacher told me that he always insists on doing this!

December Traditions and Adventures of Mozart - 2015

I love the thought of having traditions that our kids will remember always doing at Christmas time. Here are some of the fun things we got to do throughout December this year (some already mentioned in other posts):  Decorating the Christmas Tree:  Well, this was a weird year because our big tree was in storage, but we bought new little one and had lots of fun!! http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=TCloOw2U_Rk Chocolate Advent Calendars: It has a small chocolate to open every day from December 1 through 24. My Grandma has given me one of these every single year for as long as I can remember! It is so special that she now makes sure her great-grand kids get them every year! She sends them around Thanksgiving from El Paso every year so we are able to eat our first chocolate on December 1!sd Here is a picture from the last day- calendar done! What fun! North Pole Caller  Last year, Aunt Kelly and Benzons gave us the North Pole Caller, which allows us a personal line to call
