After only 10.5 months, Evan has started crawling!!!  Yay!! http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=vZqEzqrB3ng  His first official crawls were on Tuesday, June 25, and he has made progress every day since.  He is now all over the place- although he is not super fast yet! He is very excited and proud of himself- makes cute little noises on his way around the room and especially as he approaches something! Precious! LJ started crawling at the exact same age..so while they may be different in 100 ways, they seem exactly the same as far as crawling and teething go (Evan still doesn't have ANY teeth- LJ was over 11 months when he got his first!).

We finally took LJ to Build-A-Bear! We have been waiting for an occasion, and then found ourselves walking around the mall this morning (headed in after Farmer's Market just to cool off- it is SO hot here!) with the time to do it! LJ picking out his animal... Trying to decide... it was almost a terrible looking bunny! Then (thank goodness) he found a dog he liked better! Stepping on the thing that fills his dog with stuffing.... LJ picking the dog's little heart ... Ah... He loved him immediately! Time to pick out some clothes for him... LJ walked over to a huge selection of outfits/ gear and...... Immediately picked up this little Texas Tech shirt and asked if his doggie could wear it! Barrett was so happy, and we know Grandad and Queenie will be so proud!! Then he picked out his shoes.... And he let him ride on a motorcycle that was there (he really wanted it- but the motorcycle was more expensive than the dog! haha!)

We started Barrett's birthday at church. The Benzons were there also (we all make it most Sundays), and the kids had all received a shirt so got to match! LJ loves his cousins so much! After church we headed to brunch, then home to swim before naps, then Barrett and I went out to dinner and a movie. It was a low key but nice day... and I sure love celebrating the wonderful birthday boy!! Of course, we had to do some singing too!!
