Easter

Image
Since LJ had the stomach flu on Good Friday, we secluded ourselves for the rest of the weekend to make sure we didn't spread the horrible bug! While we were so sad to miss out on friend/family time and egg hunting, we ended up having a pretty good time under the circumstances! We started the morning with a mini egg hunt in our house --basically a trail of scattered eggs leading to the boys' Easter baskets! LJ was very excited to 'hunt' and collect his eggs! And then he really loved opening every egg to see what was inside and looking through his basket! Here is video of LJ hunting his eggs and finding his basket... http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=9asEWZFbpto http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=l6QS74ragaE Thanks so much for the cute baskets Gigi!! Evan seemed to enjoy too- although he pretty much just got to play with whatever LJ handed him! After having a stomach bug, the Easter bunny decided apple sauce was a great gift for a starving little L

Stroller Strides Easter Egg Hunt

Image
Friday started out great! Went to Stroller Strides and got a good workout followed by 2 waves of a very fun Easter Egg hunt. LJ seemed to be having a very good time... There's the group hunting!  LJ and his crew! Showing me the sticker he found in his egg...  Hugs for Eagle....  And Ben....  And Dylan... very affectionate little LJ!!  After the hunt, a dentist and "Timmy the Tooth" came to give the group a demonstration on brushing teeth...  LJ did very well...  Brushing the tongue! And this is Timmy the Tooth! LJ talked about him all the way home! Evan playing with an egg...  The saddest thing is that after all the hunting, LJ started to get a little needy and whining, and then all the sudden just threw up!! We got in the car as fast as we could and got home ...  It turns out he had the stomach flew... SO sorry for exposing all the kiddos there to his bug :(

KDO Easter Egg Hunt

LJ's teachers invited us to come watch the kids participate in their Easter Egg hunt. Before the hunt, they made their own little 'baskets'- buckets really, but they got to decorate them with Easter stickers. I wasn't sure how well LJ would get the concept of hunting for eggs, but he did great!   LJ's class entering the playground where all the eggs were 'hidden' Looking through his 'winnings' And eating some! Important to play a quick game on mama's phone!  Happy little camper!

Easter School Art

A picture doesn't do LJ's art justice, but I had to attempt to share! Getting his school work always makes my day, but I especially loved Easter crafts!! - The Wood Family

Our week!

Started the week off thinking Evan had the stomach flu (we had been around people who had just had it), but in retrospect, I think he may have just laid down too quickly after drinking his bottle (terribly coincidental)!? But after he threw all his milk up at 6 am on Monday, we took all precautions to contain a possible virus- including keeping LJ home from school! I kept waiting for both of them to be sick, but it never happened!! After Evan got sick that morning though, I let him get in bed with me. He didn't sleep well for the 30 mins I was there with him, but after I got out of bed to make breakfast, he passed out hard and slept there alone for 4 hours! He has never done this, and looked so cute and little in our big bed! Then he woke up happy, and never showed any more signs of being sick! Thank goodness!! Laughing in bed when he woke up... Happily eating! Went to stroller strides on Wednesday, and Evan got to sit in the BOB stroller like a big boy for th
