Ellie's 6 Month Appointment and Comparisons

Image
Ellie's appointment was a few days after her 6 month birthday. And our little girl has been eating well!! She had the skinniest little legs just a few months ago, and now she has super chunky thighs, big squishy cheeks, and a few rolls on her tummy!! I love our little chunky monkey!!  Her 6 months stats were as follows (taken 4-28-15):  Weight: 17 lbs 8 oz (75%) Height: 25.5 inches (25-50%) Head Circumference: 42.3 (50%) Below are the boys' stats at the same age:  Evan Weight: 17 lbs 12 oz (50-75%). Height: 27 in (50-75%). Head Circumference: 44.5 cm (75-85%) LJ Weight: 15 lbs 3 oz (10-25%) Height: 26 in (25-50%) Head Circumference: 44.5 cm (75%) So at 6 months: Ellie is the shortest and has the smallest head, LJ was the lightest, and Evan was tallest and heaviest! I wonder what the future holds!! Haha! She got the third and final round of her first set of vaccines, and she did great! She cried for maybe a minute when poked but smiled

Ellie the 6 Month Old

Image
It's been wonderful month with our sweet girl!  Sleep: Ellie has started sleeping through the night occasionally (maybe 1/3 of the time), and if she doesn't, she is usually just up once for a quick feeding then right back to bed... HUGE improvement!! I can almost see consistent sleep in my future! She is still sleeping in the pac and play in my closet at night, but naps in her crib upstairs every day. We have planned to move her up there as soon as she doesn't need us to p the paci back in her mouth and sleeps through the night without needing us- so will probably start trying it out next week! Her bedtime is about 7:30 pm. Also, she loves her blankie! She also still takes 2 naps a day. The morning one is 30 mins (if we are on the go) to 2 hours long (if we stay home) and the afternoon nap is usually 2-3 hours long. She is a very good sleeper overall (in my humble opinion!)!  Eating: Ellie had a least 1-2 bottles of breast milk almost all days until

Run With Rex 5K Family Fun Run and Birthday Pary

We got to participate in a wonderful event this year- the Run with Rex 5K Family Fun Run and Birthday Party! This is an event that a dear friend, Melanie Dow, puts on to benefit St. Baldrick's Foundation.  She started this event after her friend's son, at only at 18 months old, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer. After more time in hospitals and the family going through challenges I can't imagine, I am so happy to report that he has been cancer free since last october!  Although we don't know him well, celebrating his 2nd birthday is something we were honored to do! #Rexstrong!! Here's a link with more information: http://www.rexstrong.org Unfortunately it was a wet morning and a little colder than I expected, but it made my first jog in about a year feel pretty nice!!  The boys LOVE their shirts!  And Ellie enjoyed the jog! (Barrett and I both had to push a stroller- one double Bob and one single- we are out numbered!!) They had

WHPP Hoe Down

It was time for the WHPP Annual Hoe Down. It's held at the school on a Thursday evening, and it's a great time to hang with friends and teachers from school!  We decided to getting a sitter for Ellie so she could get to bed on time, but I was sad to have to leave her! She is the sweetest little thing!  And I got to wear my new boots! So exciting!  I get to match LJ and Evan now!  First activity at the Hoe Down- the Petting Zoo! These were some of the calmest animals I have ever met! The boys were so excited to hold them!  Then after some great BBQ, we headed outside to play! Thomas, LJ and Evan... they are so cute!  Running around together... Love the view from their play ground here! Evan and his friend Avery...  Tried for one good picture with the boys... Loving LJ's 'riding pose'!  LJ is saying 'Cheese'!  Another fun night at the Hoe Down!
