We went to the doctor on Wednesday, April 18 for LJ's 18 month wellness check up, as well as his last round of shots until he  is 4 yrs old! Below are his stats: Height: 33 inches (50-75 percentile) Weight: 28lbs 9oz (75-90 percentile) Head circumference: 49.5 cm (90th percentile) Doctor says he looks very good, 'healthy' weight, and we can go ahead and give him only 2% milk now (don't need extra fat on our little man)! Both the nurse and doctor were VERY impressed with his speech and vocabulary.  After we read some books while his nurse was asking questions (and he said "read books, grabbed his book, and identified all the pictures in the book, then said "All done read book", etc), the nurse actually brought another nurse to see how well he could talk/ put words together! Doctor said this is well above 2 year old level! It was a proud moment for me- and they didn't even hear him count, say abcs, or anything that I have been impressed with latel

Our little LJ is 18 months old today!! We are so blessed to have his happy, loving, and wonderful little spirit in our lives- He makes us laugh every day! A few updates on LJ: He is talking up a storm these days, and we can usually get him to repeat (or try) just about anything we say! He often says "bless you" after you sneeze, and occasionally a random "I luv you" which melts my heart! He loves singing and listing off or identifying people in pictures. He often sings "Happy Birthday" himself! He also is pretty good at counting to 10 (although he almost always skips 7 and 8 for some reason!), and we have been working on the ABCs! He loves reading (often grabs a book and sits to read by himself), watching videos (signing time, baby videos, and especially videos from Gigi and Capi or of his friends!), playing with all his toys and his legos, hugging and kissing his stuffed animals (who are all called by name now!), being outside, pointing out all bicy

We went the morning with our friends at the Austin Nature Center followed by a picnic in the park. LJ loved the animals, and we had a great time. Finished looking at animals and now obsessed with giving Hi-fives!

The Easter Bunny left LJ a little surprise at the bottom of the stairs this morning, and LJ was very excited to find it! He immediately went rummaging through his basket and took every item out to inspect it! Barrett teaching him how to hit with his new golf club! And he's off... We had a wonderful evening at Queenie and Grandad's house for an Easter egg hunt and dinner! LJ and Mama! Cousins playing... LJ's making his own dinner! We went out to The lake house today, and LJ got to go on the boat for the first time! He was very excited to see the water, boats, ducks... All of it! The wind was a little intense on the front of the boat... But he never complained (just had a funny little face)! LJ getting some driving tips from Uncle Shady... And Jack and LJ took the wheel... Sure this is the first of many adventures for these two!! Found his favorite position... Wind in his hair- he was feeling like the king of the world! Fun day!! - The Wood Fam
