Stomach Bug

In the middle of the night Wednesday, poor LJ woke up at 1:30 am throwing up! It took me about half an hour to get him calmed down and everything cleaned up (bed sheets and pjs changed, etc), and then right as I was about to leave the room, he started throwing up again :(  It was so sad! So another 15 minutes later, I had everything clean again, and LJ fell back asleep hard. I noticed that Evan was awake when I got back to my room and looked at our monitor, but he wasn't crying or upset. I figured all the noise from LJ woke him up, and eventually he laid back down too.

LJ slept until 7 am (which is just a little early for him), and then I brought him down stairs to lay on the couch. He was definitely not feeling great, but he kept several crackers and fluids down. Then at 9 am he asked if he could go back to sleep. I took him to bed and he was out in minutes!

A little snuggle time with dad on the couch (B did not want to be in the picture but it was a sweet moment!).

Usually we are out of the house by 8:45 am at the latest, so I end up having to wake the boys up if it gets too late. But today, since LJ wasn't going to school, everyone could sleep in. And they did! It wasn't until Gigi surprised us at the door and the dogs started barking that LJ and Evan (Evan for the first time) woke up... at 11:35 am!!! Evan had been in bed since 7:40 the night before!

But when I walked into Evan's room, I realized he had thrown up at some point in the middle of the night too! Poor baby!  I already had a bottle of milk ready for him before I realized he was sick, and he goes crazy for his milk! I was worried he wouldn't keep it down so I quickly watered it down and he chugged it. He also ate several crackers, drank power aid/ water, and kept everything down!

In fact, neither LJ or Evan ever threw up again- just those 1-2 times in the middle of the night!

But they were definitely not feeling great, so we had a very low key day with extra TV and Gigi time! If there is anything is the world that can make LJ happy when he isn't feeling good, it's his Gigi!
And she had a surprise for him... a Ukulele!! He was so excited!

He has been singing and making up songs non-stop since receiving it!!
Evan was starving and cracker hoarding all day!!
We pretty much just hung out around the house all day Thursday and Friday working on getting these boys better- and I think they are on the road to full recovery (fingers crossed!).
