Evan 15 Months

On Monday, November 18 (5 day after his 15 month bday), Evan had his 15 month well check at Bee Caves Pediatric.

His stats:
Weight  24 lbs, 3 oz  (45%)
Height   30 in (17%)
Head Circumference  47 cm (44%)

He is smaller than LJ at the same age (although my arms don't feel that way!).  Here are LJ's 15 month Stats:
Weight   25lbs 8oz (75%)
Height   32 in long (75%)
Head circumference   49cm (90-95%) ....

Happy little man enjoys the cool painted wall in the office.

And my favorite part of visits here: the random Peacock that struts right outside the window! The first time we were there, LJ said "Mom look at that silly peacock!" and I thought HE was being silly! Nope- there is actually a peacock that hangs out there all the time!

Poor Evan got 4 pokes again :(  It was so sad, but he did great! We went straight from doctor to music class- which he loves and really enjoyed! And then he passed out hard as we drove to pick up LJ from school! Bless my sweet 15 month old's heart! He is so precious!

At 15 months, Evan is:
- Still drinking a bottle first thing in the morning and before bed- hoping to get rid of both this month!
- Has paci only in his crib. He drops the paci into his crib as soon as I pick him up in the morning or after nap! Then he insists that we open his blinds with the remote and say hi world! He fusses and grunts at me if we skip these, and smiles and laughs when we do them!
- Still usually takes a short nap in the morning as we are running around (try not to let him sleep more than 40 mins) and then a longer (2-3 hour typically) nap in the afternoon.
- LOVES reading books! I mean really loves it! He picks his favorites, and smiles, dances, laughs when I pick them up to read them! It is so cute! He loves Pete the Cat, his word book, Oh What Busy Days- we read many books multiple times a day!
- Has many signs, and loves doing them! His favorites are probably shoes, strawberry, and dog. He does so many all the time though (all done, eat, milk, fish, more, ball, etc). But one funny thing is that he seems to have better dexterity in his left hand- signs always look more clear with his left hand!
- Still loves his brother so much and thinks he is the funniest person in the world! Their relationship is cuter every day :)
- Laughs a lot more often- is really getting a cute sense of humor!
- Still loves hugging so much!
- Loves waving and saying bye and blowing a kiss.
- Says hi and smiles!
- Also says Uh OH every time anything drops. Every. Time.
- Babbles so much- full sentences of babbling! I am starting to pick out a few words, but probably no more than 10.
- Loves balls! We can be in the kitchen, and I will say Evan go make a basket. He will go pick up a ball, take it to his hoop, and make a basket!
- Climbs our little slide and goes down- all by himself
- Loves music, instruments, playing on the piano (both boys do now).
- Loves bath time. Says/ signs bath time every night, and always has to have a total splash-out moment in the tub where he goes crazy splashing! Of course, LJ then has to join, and I am always drenched when I leave the bathroom now!
- Is a very busy walking boy! Just like LJ, between 14 and 15 months he went from toddling around to full on walking! I am so happy about this!!
- Got his 3rd tooth on his 15 month birthday!  Yes- he only has 3 teeth!!
- Having only 3 teeth does NOT stop him from eating just about anything! He loves food! Most mornings for breakfast he eats: a banana, a muffin, a bowl of cherrios (he is pretty good with a spoon too!), blueberries/strawberries or some other fruit, and a yogurt! Lunch and dinner, he eats whatever we eat. The only thing I can think of that he doesn't eat are nuts (don't trust his 3 teeth to cut them up well enough!).
