Missing Dad...

Barrett left town on Saturday, so it was just me and the boys!  Saturday they both took awesome naps. When they woke up, we played around the house for a while, and then headed to Rolly Pollies (a kids gym place) for LJ's friend Benji's 3rd birthday. We had never been here, but both boys had a great time!

LJ was so happy his friend Thomas was there too, and they did not skip a beat before hitting the foam pit together!

Evan also got busy right away! He loved the tunnels...

LJ and Evan both wore crowns while they ate a little dinner...
Time to sing to Benji. I had never seen a donut tower for a cake before- pretty cute! But LJ refused to try the donut! Ha!

Evan celebrating and trying to blow on the thing (don't know what those are called!).

The worst news: after such a fun time at the party, I started feeling nauseated on the drive home. And then as soon as I got in the door, I got sick! Apparently I caught the terrible stomach bug the boys had a couple days before.   It was pretty unfortunate timing since Barrett was out of town!!   :(  Any other time it wouldn't have been as bad because he could let me rest a little, but of course I was alone and nauseated- no fun! Thank goodness it's a short bug!!  I was not great throughout the night, but no longer nauseated or sick in the morning.... Just exhausted!! And the boys woke up earlier than they ever do (6:30 am!). So the morning was pretty rough!

Thank goodness I had a few things to keep them entertained, like the great new Noah's Ark Granny sent the boys! They absolutely love it! It amused LJ for about 45 minutes straight- and he has played with it almost every day since!! He loves it- thanks so much Granny!!

Then the boys helped me move around furniture and try out different arrangements! They took toys into every room to see how they liked playing in each!

Then we had some box - I mean boat- fun! I love how well they are starting to play together- it's so cute!!

Well, most of the time!

And finally it was nap time! Thank goodness we all got very long naps on Sunday and woke up ready to have a much better afternoon!

Monday morning, LJ insisted on wearing his favorite shirt to school, his Woody pjs from the McDonnells.

Boys playing in the water table at school when we were picking LJ up.... We were excited to get home because someone was going to be there...

DAD!!!!!!  LJ raced into the house to hug him first (before me!). It was so cute! Barrett had been in New Orleans with his friends Sam and Paul to watch a Saints game. They had awesome seats and had a great time! We were glad he got to go, but we missed him!!

And my amazing husband came with small gifts for everyone! He is so thoughtful!!  Here he has the bag of gifts... LJ is so excited, screaming "What is it DAD!!???"

Stuff football player and a Mickey Mouse... one for each boy!

We usually go to dinner at Jack Allen's with the family on Mondays, but everyone in the family kept coming down with the stomach bug so it was canceled. I didn't have any dinner planned though, so we headed to the mall to eat at California Pizza Kitchen with the Robinsons! Fun dinner.
On the way out, the boys were obsessed with these cars and did not want to get out of them!

Oh, and I haven't mentioned this, but my friend Jessica just moved to Austin! She started work last Monday, but her family doesn't come until the end of the week. So she has been staying with us for a week- and LJ has a huge crush on her! He keeps giving her random things (any thing!) he can find around the house, makes her drawings, etc! It's hilarious! He grabbed her hand so quickly over mine- it would've sad if not so cute!
