Out and About

On Monday, LJ didn't have school because it was parent-teacher conference day. So LJ got to join Evan and I in music class! We go to the same teacher that LJ went to, so she was happy to see him there, and he had a great time! He has all the songs memorized since we listen to the CD in my car so often!

And Evan loves his music class so much! He really gets more into it every week!
Our first Santa pictures attempt!
I dressed them so cute because we made a quick Santa visit. The boys did well, LJ especially! He walked right up to Santa and informed him that he would like Buzz Lightyear, like Eagles', for Christmas this year! Then he sat on his lap without complaining- or smiling particularly big- but hey, I'll take it!
Evan was just a little weary of Santa until I put him on his lap- and then he started crying! So I got him calmed down and then sat him back on Santa without letting him see Santa! It worked - no tears! But no big smiles either! I may try to go one more time before I decide to buy the pictures. There was a really cute one of LJ telling Santa he wanted Buzz and Evan just staring at the camera!

Tuesday Evan was a trooper and ran a bunch of errands with me!

Although he did let me know when I was interfering with his morning car nap!

LJ helping me get the house ready for a girls' night party ... he was so excited about everything!

Wednesday morning my DEAR friend Christine saved me last minute! I decided to keep LJ home from school because there were rumors of a bug going around, and then remembered I had a parent-teacher conference at his other school (WHPP) and didn't have a sitter. So she came right over and spent some time with the boys while I ran to the school. They were so happy to play with 'Aunt Bean'!! I got home and found them all out on the basketball court- and I think LJ was planking on the ball! Hah! One day with Christine, and he turns into an athlete!
I had a tennis lesson later that morning and date night that evening, so we had scheduled our nanny Karinna to be there most of the day.  But it was so beautiful outside, and it was Evan's 15th month birthday and LJ's 37th month, and I missed them,  so I decided to take everyone out for a little fun!

Evan fell asleep as soon as we got in the car for his short morning cat nap!

And LJ got to play with Karinna's phone!
We had lunch at Mandolas- everyone loved it!
Evan seems to love hats as much as LJ! I am so happy about this!! He just recently started putting on LJ's silly hats (found all around our house), and today he loved this hat!
Picked Mandolas because it has a great play ground out back... this was our first time there, and both boys loved it!
LJ helping Karinna 'catch' Evan! I let him down from top of slide. He is so fearless!! He kept trying to climb the ladder by himself and would just fall right on to the slide- I had to catch him quickly and direct him down!!

LJ looking through binocular things- only the wrong way!!

His favorite 'King of the Castle' Move!

Then we quickly ran into Michael's to pick out some new crafts to do with the boys. They were both so happy!
LJ was having a full conversation with this Santa...

LJ went down an isle without me, and when I found him, he had this hat on!

I love it so much, I got Evan one too!!
I love my little elves so much! Yay for funny hats!
