Playing around the house

LJ only had school on Monday this week, and with the colder weather, we have been spending more time than usual inside.

LJ went all around the house wearing / playing the drum. Evan followed shaking a little tambourine.
Evan in LJ's hat... I love this hat so much!

LJ just put his hood on since Evan had his hat!

I have been trying to get Evan to drop his morning nap. He stays awake fine until 1:30 (LJ's nap time) if I can keep him stimulated, but the worst is driving home from picking LJ up from his school down town, SDDS.  It takes us about 25 minutes, and Evan would dose off- and then I would not be able to get him back to sleep for another 2 hours (which would mean putting Evan back down right when LJ is about to get up - which means no break for mom!).  So I found a way to keep Evan awake in car rides- Signing Time on the car DVD player!
Evan's new favorite spot to sit and eat his afternoon snack is the bottom step of our staircase.
After snacks, we decided to make our Thanksgiving place mats with foam stickers. LJ was much more into this than Evan (seems to be the norm!).

Evan loves laying on his tummy to color!

And he often just rests his head for a little while too! Guess many of those neck muscles haven't been worked much!

Then the McDonnells stopped by to play with us! Yay!

LJ used this little bow (actually a foam sticker for a ginger bread girl) as a mustache for a long time while playing.  He wanted Ben to wear one too, but it didn't seem to stick to him as well as LJ!

Ben and Evan playing together! Ben is so sweet!

Lots of different crafts going on!

Had to post because I love Kate's hair!! So cute!
Kate was crying on the floor after dinner, and LJ grabbed his guitar to play her a song!
Thanks for coming by McDonnells! Enjoyed the evening!

Being silly with LJ...

Evan is obsessed with the ornaments on our tree... he broke 3 within the first 20 hours of having the tree up. Now all glass ones are either gone or way up high... all others come on and off daily thanks to Evan!

Boys playing together!
Happy boy eating his snack!

I got the boys new cereal bowls with straws built into them since they love drinking their cereal milk (and Evan especially always spills more than he drinks!)! They have been a hit so far-

Evan reminding me of Tom Cruise in Risky Business!
Evan loves these shades!
LJ was protesting getting dressed, but insisted on wearing his hat!
Evan enjoying his afternoon snack in his favorite spot!

Boys are starting to play together and enjoy each other - I love it! They are grilling something for us here...
