July Randoms 2017
Wow was July fun and full!!!
Most the month has been covered with posts from Fourth of July, Port Aransas, McWoodell Summer, Idaho, and our second El Paso trip, but here are a few extra pictures!
I started the month with a quick one night getaway with these beautiful friends!!! Girl time at the pool and overnight fun! It was heaven!
Meanwhile, Barrett and Mark watched all 7 kids for us! Happy with 2 of the best dads I know!! (weird to see LJ's bottom teeth still there! Hah!)
My cousin Trisha, her husband Ron, and their incredible daughter, Tricia Ann, spent an evening with us as they drove through Austin to tour colleges all over the state! I can't believe she will be in college next year! We LOVED our night with this amazing and beautiful family!
After a fun dinner and many laughs, the night ended with Tricia Ann captivating the kiddos with her beautiful piano playing! What a treat!
A weekend alone with the kids, and we ended up at Bass Pro Shop getting new fishing rods! How did that happen?!!
Then Party City to get ideas for Evan's birthday party... No buying; Only looking!!
Where did Ellie go!?
Our friends invited us to join them for a shaved ice at the most DELICIOUS place- best one I have ever been to!! We will definitely have to go back there one day! MMmmm!!
Ellie's new smile... I would say it's a little forced! ;)

Sweet brothers!
Ready to swim!!
Dinner at our friend's house... Barrett isn't with us, so Ellie found another Dad's heart to steal!
Whenever our housekeeper, Leti, sees Ellie, she does amazing things to her hair! I need to practice these things big time!! And I love how her high-light looks in a braid! So special!
A little extra time in our morning ... let's go by the aquarium!! We are getting the most out of our membership this year!
Lots of cool reptiles to pet today!
I asked what he was doing, and he responded, "MOM! I am not coming up because I am pretending the shark ATE me!" Ha! Ok, Evan!
Silly monkeys by the tree! LJ making a scared face for all the snakes above him!
And the big exciting news for the month.... we are getting FISH! LJ worked on his chore chart all summer with that as his big 'prize'. He got enough stars, so we started checking out kinds of fish. When he finally decided on Glo fish (it's like a tetra, but they come in cool neon colors), I was very happy that they are a schooling fish so we needed to get three. So all kids got to pick out one fish! Since it was originally LJ's prize, the aquarium and all the decorations for it were his choice! He decided he wanted a green Glo fish and all green gravel to match him!
Evan doesn't want me to take pictures... I don't care! LJ is so excited!!! We had to buy the aquarium and decorations first, get it set up, and then let the tank adjust for several days to prepare to put the fish in. Bacteria needed to grow, etc. So today, we got all the things to set the tank up, but no fish yet (they will be joining the family in August when we are home from our El Paso trip - and also home for the summer)!
One morning I got a text to go look in our driveway. I didn't take my phone at first, but we looked out to see a big hog and it's cute little babies sniffing around our yard! They were domestic hogs from a nearby ranch that had gotten out, but it was a big neighborhood ordeal, and it took animal control a couple hours to catch them from our neighbor's yard. It even made the news!
A better shot with all the babies! They were so cute!
Book Club!! Second of the summer was hosted at Cassandra, Oliver, and Leo's house! The book was Dragon's Love Taco's 2. Overall, the book was not a huge hit... but the book club party WAS! Kids got to make ice cream tacos and had such a great time! Way to go kids!
Happy Evan with our host!
Silly boys!
Cute kids and great readers!
Time for Ice Cream Tacos!! Yummy!!
