Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center

After a failed attempt at tennis lessons with LJ (who refused to get on the court and take the lesson), we met the Robinsons for a morning at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center to check out and explore the new Family Garden.  Evan found his spot swinging between Aunt Funny and Uncle E and was a happy guy!

Found a camp site -boys got right to collecting sticks and 'cooking'! 


Then we had lunch at waterloo... fun fun morning!! Time for some good naps!

Evan is 8 months and LJ is 2 1/2!

How quickly time is flying by! We have an 8 month old and a 2 1/2 year old here!!  Evan: Monthly highlights: - Saying "Mama" and "Dada"... and we even think he might know who is who! He looks at Barrett and says "Dada" and then the other day while he was doing that, I grabbed him and asked "And who am I?"  He said "Ma ma ma"!!! Maybe coincidence- but we are counting it! January 2014- Randoms

Here are my cell phone randoms from January... It was a great start to 2014!  Crazy weather with 2 no-school days from ice, boys developing a real friendship, loving playing together, and lots of family time. LJ keeping me company in our gym while I run on the treadmill- working hard! LJ playing his first board game- Shoots and Ladders (a Christmas gift from the Robinsons). He likes it- but could be a little frustrating if you are a stickler for the rules! Evan busy pushing a cart up and down the halls at WHPP as we wait to pick up LJ from school. Silly at snack time.... A trip to Laura's library (named after Laura Bush)... always fun! My little readers! They both sat here by themselves and opened books! LJ showing me his pick! Corona Quarantine Week 5

Week 5 ....Here we go! Time to get to work! Got our head wrapped around what the district is giving us, and ready to knock out some of our assignments!  We have to take pictures of all our work to turn in on Google classroom. Evan's teacher prefers hand-written work turned in, and LJ's usually prefer typed up.  One of LJ's assignments this week was to build 3 different types of paper airplanes, and compare their flight! Fun!!  Capi and Gigi got him just the book to use!  Ellie is very excited to be learning he sight words, and she loves writing on my work-board! haha!   Brain break with GoNoodle!  PE  - Dice game! Roll the dice and do whatever activity it lands on! Mama needs her workout too...
