Fourth of July, 2014

We started the day with our new tradition of participating in the Rollingwood 4th of July Parade with the Robinsons. The boys were exciting to ride in their wagon, and thankfully I had help pulling them from Kelly, the girls, and Barrett (they are not light!)!.  We had to walk to the start line to participate....

Then we lined up with all our friends to watch the beginning of the parade...

The first cars threw lots of candy at us - it was almost scary! But LJ and Evan quickly got a lollipop open and got to work eating it!

Walking back to the Robinson's house with the parade- Barrett got wagon duty!

 Robinson boys....

 Kate on her scooter!
 Family shot!

 Cousins doing chalk!

Home and being silly before naps!
Trying to get a good 'selfie' with the boys!

Evan is very into hats and glasses right now!
We set out pillows from a bed, and Evan would NOT stop face-planting into them! He counts, "1,2,3, GO!" and dives in- probably 25 times in a row! He is all boy!!
 Boys doing a Frozen puzzle...
Keeping Evan from taking pieces away is no easy task... but they got it done!
 Yay!!!

Outside for lunch... we eat out here pretty often!

Then after naps, we met the Robinsons at Waterloo. It was so much fun, and the boys had an absolute blast! We will definitely have to go there again soon. Great playground and sand box!
Eagle Jr always wearing his head band! What a character!

Then since LJ took a great nap, we let him stay up late and watch his first fireworks! We can see several shows from our house, but we don't have a perfect or great view for any of them! The best visibility is from our front yard though, where I think we see Lost Creek Country Club's show. Also, one of our neighbors kept setting some off, so those ended up being LJ's favorite to watch! He was so excited!

Barrett's great friend Sam, Barrett, and LJ watching for fireworks!

Saturday morning, LJ went to HEB with me to get some stuff for dinner, and he was an instant winner with his Buddy Bucks! He was excited- he actually asked me to take a picture to send to his Gigi! haha!
He asked for his prize at the counter all by himself! Getting so big!
And he won these weird rubber band things! He loves them (and so does Evan)! Not sure how safe they are though!
Then we headed to a splash pad to meet the McDonnells ... we love splash pads!!

And this one is next to a park... so fun!
Then on July 5th, we had our friends over to swim, eat, and watch the Barton Creek Country Club's fireworks show.
Glow sticks! Who can make the longest one!?

This show we have GREAT seats for- right from our fire pit! The kids had a blast- and so did we!! Wathcing the show!

What a great weekend of celebrating our country's birthday!!!
