A Fabulous Monday Night!

After being so happy for a week to have Queenie and Grandad in town for their summer visit, we then got an even great bonus on Monday night with a quick visit from my cousins (the Dentingers) Trisha, Ron, Ron Lee and Tricia Ann.  They were driving through Austin touring universities (Ron Lee will be a senior next year), and we had the pleasure of having them stay with us one night. 

Ron Lee is a fabulous pianist, and LJ decided to sit next to him and play along on his small piano! 

Then we took the Dentingers with us to our family dinner at Jack Allens!

Then we got our waitress to take another of the whole group!  So much fun!!

LJ Swimming

LJ has made some big improvements in his swimming these last few weeks.  We are so excited and proud of him. Trampoline Park

Went back to Trampoline Park on Sunday... LJ has gotten so much better and more confident - guess all the practice time on his little trampoline is paying off! Still so much fun for Dad...  And the Mamas finally get in on all the fun!  Last time we went I was VERY pregnant and couldn't jump... but not this time! I see a frequent Sunday family outing in our future! A little sliding time... And video gaming! Too much fun!!

LJ Loses his first Teeth!

LJ's two bottom teeth were definitely loose. He had been wiggling them for MONTHS and insisting they were about to come out! While we were in El Paso in June, one of them got really loose, and he even begged us to just pull it out or take him to a dentist!! Hah!!  And I actually tried, but I couldn't get a good grip on it. Then when we looked up ways to pull teeth (like the well known string on a door handle), the overwhelming recommendation was NOT to do it!! Apparently this could cause a tooth to come out too soon and lead to infection! Who knew! So he had to wait!!  That said, he tooth was getting so loose, it was leaning sideways in his mouth!! It almost looked like it had come out sometimes because it wasn't sitting so funny! Then on July 3, as I was brushing his teeth before bed (sometimes I make him let me do it so I can be sure they are getting a good brushing), I literally brushed his tooth sideways!! Ah!!!
