Ellie's Two Year Well-Check

The next morning we had Ellie's well-check! She was happy to go and had fun playing (of course she had no idea a vaccine was in her near future- poor girl!)
Riding the rocking horse in the waiting room!

She was pretty upset about getting her shots, but a lollipop helped a lot!!!

Ellie's 24 month Stats are:

Weight   30.4 lbs    80%
Height 34.6 in        75%
FOC 47.4 cm          50%

Here are the boys' stats around the same age (I always find this so fascinating!!):

Evan 25 month Stats:
    Weight................28 Lbs     25-50%
     Height................33.5 in      25%
     Head Circum.....48.8 cm     75%

LJ 25 month Stats:
    Weight................30 Lbs    75-90%
Height................37 in      50-75%  ..........Whoa! 3.5 in taller than Evan at same age!!
     Head Circum.....51 cm     90%

Ellie weighs the most, is middle for height, and has the smallest head!

Here are some other tidbits about Ellie at 2 years old:

She is without a doubt the most precious 'Hot Mess' of a little girl ever (I'm totally biased!). She was the most quiet, sweet little thing until about 14 months old, and she has been making up for those calm, easy quiet months ever since!! She is loud, tough, opinionated, and sweet! She loves holding hands, sitting on laps, hugging, and cuddling. She has a special place for boys (especially young handsome ones! Scary!) and flirts a lot!
She talks a LOT- unless we are in a new environment and she is being shy- but that does't last too long! But she is not easy to understand!! It's getting better, or maybe I am getting used to it! She call Evan "Brother" and LJ by his name, and we have been surprised lately to see that she really does know the names of most all people we see regularly. She is still missing all four canine teeth (pointy teeth) and her two year molars and is the strangest teether I have known personally! Her teeth came in all out of order, and the canines usually come in between 16-22 months! No sign of them yet!
I have a feeling this girl is always going to keep us on our toes!

She is a great sleeper, and eats a lot (although she snacks more than I would like). She takes a 2 hour nap on average every day, and sleeper about 11-12 hours a night. She usually goes to sleep without complaint, and is still in her crib (although we are thinking about moving her to a double bed soon!).

She LOVES reading, singing, dolls, and coloring! LOVES! And she loves being outside and jumping on the trampoline! Mini-mouse is also her absolute favorite! The only show she has a real interest in is Leap Frog Letter Factory, but this has gotten us through many meals!

She is extremely independent and insists on doing everything "By my-SELF!" and then says, "Yay I did it!! All By-mySelf!" She puts on her own shoes, opens doors, lets Bella in and out, gets her own bowls, plates, cups, and can pour snacks into her bowl alone. She even tries to dress herself (but usually still needs help). She is also extremely picky about what she wears already- possibly worse than Evan! She opens some pouches (with the easier handle) by herself, and she will try to do just about anything else she see someone else doing! Her determination is awesome!

She is also into EVERYTHING! I did not have to worry much about baby proofing with Evan, and LJ was very good about that too. This little girl gets into every drawer, cabinet, bottle, and bag she can find! She can open baby-proofed pill bottles (like Ibuprofen bottles - so scary!) and will put lotion all over the floor if you don't watch her! She gets into all my make-up, soaps, and liquids... and she does it FAST! She will carry chairs around, set them in front of a drawer, and stand on it to get in! She is busy and efficient!!! Boys had no interest in doing any of this, so it has been crazy for me!!

Overall, she rules this house! She runs tabs on where everyone is at all times ("Where did Dada go? Where did LJ go? Where did Brother go?), and loves playing with her brothers all the time! They take such good care of her, and she does the same for them (as much as a 2 year old can). Her sweet little voice lights up our life, and we are so grateful for this precious little girl in our lives!
