El Paso Trip October 2016, Part 1

Thursday afternoon, we picked LJ up from school a couple hours early and headed straight to the airport. To say he was excited to go is a huge understatement!

Car is parked, and we are headed in! Amazingly, LJ insisted on carrying one of the bags! And Evan insisted on helping me wheel the other!
Caught these two standing like this hugging for no particular reason! It lasted several minutes and my heart was melting! Best buds!!

A shot of the monkeys before getting on the plane!
Barrett took Ellie in a row and had some special bonding time! He said she did pretty great until the very end, and I promised him a drink when we landed!
I sat next to these two, and they were just great! They colored, worked in work books, had a snack or two, and watch a little iPad. I got some stuff done on my computer! Amazing how much easier traveling has gotten at this stage!

It was pretty late when we landed, so we headed straight to dinner with Gigi and then got home to settle in for the night. We ate at Mesa Street and had a fabulous, fast meal!

Kids are SO HAPPY to be with their Gigi!!

We got up on Friday morning and headed straight to Grandma's house!
Of course, the first thing they wanted to do was go downstairs and pick out a stuffed animal to take home. Grandma has a bed full of them, and always lets them pick one to keep. They now know this too well, and ask to do it immediately! Thanks Grandma!
Then Grandma asked the kids to help her feed all the birds over the canyon, and they loved it! We eventually had to stop them from over-feeding!!

Friday night we had dinner at our favorite- Peter Piper Pizza! Have to go here at least once per El Paso visit! And we were SO excited to have so many cousins with us!!! Yay!!!
We adore the Krancher kids!
Ellie LOVES Joe! Was all over him, flirting and making him hold her! I am sensing a scary pattern with this girl and young, good looking boys!! Scared!!!

What a fun night with all these amazing people!
Friday during naps, Ellie refused to go into her tent (which she normally loves), so I laid down in the bed with her for a minute, and she felt right to sleep! So that night, we thought we would try her in the bed... and she loved it! Looked around for a minute, then laid down and went to sleep! Maybe she's almost ready for a 'big-girl' bed!?

She did sleep MUCH later than the night before! It was amazing!
