Round Rock Express Game Aug 2016

Evan is on a huge baseball kick, and all he kept talking about was having a baseball birthday party and going to the baseball game! Well, there was not a game on his birthday weekend in town, and for a number of other reasons, we decide a baseball game birthday party would be better another year (when he is a little older). But we did make it our gift to  him to go to the baseball game (and we planned to get him a jersey but they didn't end up having his size). We had planned to try to do this with friends, but the Saturday night we wanted to go was pretty rainy! So we canceled. But the next night, Sunday night, there was a down pour of rain and then 30 minutes before the start time, the sun was shining! So we made a last minute decision to get loaded up and go! We were afraid we would not make a game if not that night (the only other home games were scheduled for Labor Day weekend), and we had promised our birthday boy! Unfortunately, most other people we know were starting school the next day, but LJ didn't start until Tuesday! So it was our last 'non-school night'! We had to go!

The kids were all so excited, and it was actually perfect! Nice weather, although a little light sprinkle for a few minutes here and there! But it was cooler outside, and the game was not crowded at all! We had such a great time!

A picture of these excited monkeys as B got our tickets!

Then a man watching offered to get us all! Yay!
They were giving away free sun glasses at the entrance... LJ and Ellie really did wear them a lot of the night! LJ was not acting this serious at all though- not sure where that face came from!!!
Walking to our seats!

Eating and watching the game... happy kids!

Ellie sat still for about 40 mins, and then she wanted to play!

Empty stands, and we found covered seats (out of sun and rain!!) that were perfect for the kids!
We only watched for about an hour before walking around, finding mascots to talk to, going through gift shop, getting dipping dots, and heading home! Successful night- they all had a great time and so glad we got to go!
