HOPE Meet the Teachers and Evan/ Ellie's first Day of School- Aug 2016
This year Evan and Ellie will be attending HOPE Presbyterian Preschool again
Super exciting news... Ellie's teachers will be Ms. Kay (been there forever and loved!) and none other than our dear friend, Ms. Missy!!! Missy is one of our first and best friends up in Cedar Park, and has twin boys, Rex and Ren, who are LJ's age. We have had play dates with them several times since moving up here, and Ellie is already obsessed with Missy!!! Ellie even swats my hand away when Missy is around and demands her attention/ arms! She loves her! So I was very excited to learn that she was going to be her teacher! I am not worried about drop off at all ;)
Ellie will be in school 3 days a week, from either 9-12pm (on Mondays) or 9- 2pm (on Wed. and Fridays), and her class is called 'Ms. Kay's Owls'!
Evan's lead teacher is Ms. Tuttle, and he will be going to school Monday through Friday (first time going 5 days!) from 9 am - 12 pm (except Wednesdays and Fridays when he stays until 2 pm). Evan's class will be 'Ms. Tuttle's Turtles'!
Ms. Tuttle is actually Ms. Kay's (Ellie's teacher) sister! They have both been at HOPE for over 25 years!
Three days a week, Evan's assistant teacher will be Ms. Karen... Ellie insisted on being in the picture too!
And twice a week, Ms. Garrett will be his assistant teacher! He seemed to like all his teachers very much and is excited to start school next week!!
Although Evan and Ellie will be going to the same school, their first days of school were not the same. Evan's was on a Tuesday, and Ellie's was the next day, Wednesday (because Ellie is only MWF)! Of course, when Ellie sees the camera come out, she takes her position!!!
In contrast to LJ who contemplated what to put in the "what do I want to be when I grow up" blank for days, Evan immediately and adamantly said, "MOM! I TOLD YOU! I want to be a Longhorn Football Player!!!" Sorry buddy! I just wanted to make sure! Daddy Darrell would be proud :)
Quick picture at HOPE right before dropping off Evan!
Then it was Ellie's turn!! She loved holding the sign and sat right down to hold it!
Reading her sign...
(side note: LOVE the signs so much! Was going to attempt making some, and our most amazing Aunt Sang beat me to it and lent us theirs! Perfect!!! Thanks so much!)
Week one was a total success!! Both kids were super happy at drop-off and pick-up every day, love their teachers, and Evan is already seeming to make good friends! Yay!!!
