Post Christmas Fun... 2015

The week after Christmas we kept busy with our new gifts, played outside enjoying the weather, fought off a stomach bug, had 1 or 2 days of gymnastics camp for the boys, and we enjoyed lots of family time!

One of their Christmas gifts (that I may be more excited about than the boys) is a kit of science experiments! This was our first one... We were learning about how the color of the liquid changes as the pH changed (or as it becomes more acidic or basic).

LJ has asked to do this one a couple times!

Enjoying some outside time!

Some days Ellie's hair is looking pretty cute!!
Ellie got 2 new dolls for Christmas, and I can't tell who loves them more- her or Evan! He has named this one Sara, and he often gets home, takes her on a walk in her stroller, rocks her, and then puts her to sleep. SO very sweet!!!

If Ellie sees her brothers doing something, she insists on trying it too! And she is getting demanding!!!

This also goes for sliding...
Ellie has learned to climb the stairs and go down the slide all by herself! She does this both here and on the bigger slide at the park now!
She is dying laughing here! She loves it!

The Stomach Bug Hits!!

I signed the boys up for a winter gymnastics camp at Champions, but then on Sunday night before it started on Monday, Ellie threw up at dinner, and then LJ started throwing up at 2 am. They must've been exposed to a stomach bug at the same time. Ellie only threw up her milk one more time in the morning, and then seemed over it (other than being needy!).

But poor LJ was sick for about 6 hours straight in the middle of the night- it was so sad! But the last time he was sick was around 9 am on Monday. Then he got a little fever that afternoon, and slept a LOT (which he NEVER does). But by Monday night he was back to himself and keeping food down.
Evan went to camp on Monday since he hadn't shown any sign of the bug yet, but then he got sick after eating a fudsicle snack on Monday afternoon. He only got sick one more time that night.

Everyone ate the most bland/ white dinner I've ever made on Monday! And LJ and Ellie seem to be fine- both ate quite a bit with no problems!
Thank goodness this stomach virus was so short!!!

SO Tuesday morning, everyone woke up much better, and kept all their food down. We stayed in all day tuesday, and I did my best to keep everyone resting!

Tuesday- keeping food down, jello snacks, and acting themselves!

Wednesday, both boys said they were feeling all better, had eaten well, were happy, and were BEGGING to go to Champions camp. So I sent them for the last day. They both had a great time, and I got to see their short pep rally at pick up!
LJ is the boy in the red shirt right in the middle! He spotted me up there and was so excited!!
