Christmas Eve 2015
Christmas Eve was a family filled and fun day for us! Every day in December, as soon as the boys have eaten their breakfast and are dressed with shoes on and ready to go, they get to open their advent calendar. (Love their picks today- both picked their favorite Christmas shirts! LJ's is actually a hand me down from my cousin Joanna's boys- thanks!!! LJ Loves it!!).
The motivation provided by one little chocolate is pretty amazing! Today was our last day for the calendar- they both got a bigger than normal Santa chocolate and were very excited!
LJ showing his Santa...
24 chocolates gone!
They were really in the Christmas spirit today!!
LJ posing for me at Hat Creek :)
Evan...
Sliding...
Ellie loves sliding and was begging to sit here! She is ready to be a part of, well, everything!!
During rest time, LJ and I started preparing our gingerbread house. It needed to dry for many hours so glad we got that going! Then we made sugar cookies to decorate for Santa.
Gigi and Capi arrived around 2:30 pm! Yay!!!
When Evan woke up, we got busy decorating our cookies for Santa! Thanks for helping Gigi!
Finished cookies just in time to get to Queenie and Grandad's for dinner.
Brother Joe made it!
All the cousins...
Ellie loves this table ...
Lauren and Ellie...
LJ and Eagle Jr never skip a beat playing together... photo bomb from Kate!!!
Barrett and Grandad relaxing!
Evan and Locke...
Christmas Vacation got turned on, and we lost the boys to the 'TV Zone'! They were mesmerized!
Evan has this new smile that is very strange- but makes me laugh! He really thinks he is smiling here!!
Picture of the boys!
Gigi ad Ellie!
Attempt at Grandad with all the Grandkids!!
Kids were surrounding Queenie in the kitchen... think they were getting hungry!
Shot of the kids' table!!! (We forgot to get the beautiful adult's table! As usual, Queenie's table was gorgeous and the dinner was amazing!!! Still full from it actually!!).
Queenie and Ellie... trying to keep this tired girl happy (and Queenie did it!!).
When we got home, we let the kids each pick one gift to open before bed. LJ opened a book of Knock knock jokes, and Evan opened a fleece sweater!
I realized I didn't have a single picture of just my three kids! Attempted to get one quickly since they looked so cute tonight!
Shirts are from Aunt Sandy and dress is from Gigi... love all and so grateful!
Evan and Ellie were exhausted and went straight to bed, but LJ helped me get ready for Santa! We put the cookies and milk out by the tree.
And then we put the reindeer food that Evan had made in school all over the porch by the front door. LJ was especially excited about this!
I snuck out after Santa came and before anyone was awake to take a couple pictures... Stockings were stuffed with toys (two didn't' fit in the stockings and were below)...
And Santa's gifts were on display!! Ellie got a new chair (that will actually be getting replaced with a smaller one), Evan got his Luke Skywalker costume, and LJ got his legos!
Merry Christmas Eve!!!
