Evan's 3rd Birthday Party - Chuck E. Cheese
I started asking Evan what type of party he wanted and where he wanted to go sometime in June... we went through a long list of places, and he said 'Yes!' to many, but after Chuck E Cheese was mentioned, no other place could be beat out!!! He insisted... and he stayed consistent! A Batman birthday party at Chuck E Cheese was all he wanted!!! So happy we could oblige this sweet boy!
A little fun getting the picture for the invitation! Evan wears this outfit or some version of it most days, so it was not hard to get it!!
LJ wanted to get in on the photo shoot!
Practicing superhero poses!
Well, too cute for me... I needed some with Ellie!
And the invitation (Evite) was made:
Before we knew it, his birthday party day was here! Evan woke up knowing that we would be going to Chuck E Cheese after breakfast, and he was so excited!!!!
A picture of the boys and me!
The Batman cake...
Friends of our Batman!! Thanks so much for celebrating with us!!!
Emi and Ines...
Blake...
Silly cousins LJ and Eagle Jr...
Locke...
Kassie and Quincy...
Howard (Uncle Shady) with Caroline and Jack (hiding behind her!)...
Kate, Evan, and Benjamin (I lost my photo op... Chuck E came out!)...
Enjoying the singing and performance from Chuck E...
Ellie in heaven with Aunt Sang!!! This party was right in the middle of Ellie's morning nap, and she was a perfect trooper (although exhausted!). Thanks Ellie!!!
Birthday cake time!!
A picture with the mouse! Evan wouldn't be next to him without me! He later told me he was scared of Chuck E because he was too big. "A mouse shouldn't be that big!" Hahah! True Evan!!
Not sure where these came from, but Evan came up to me wearing them so we got a picture!
Time for the piñata! I expected this to be way cooler... o well! Kids still seemed to enjoy all 5 seconds of pulling a string each...!
Everyone got a string, pulled, and tickets and tokens came out...
First group shot attempt... missing Blake, Benjamin, and Eagle Jr (never found Eagle!)
Then it was time for the ticket blaster... birthday kids get to do it, but Evan was too afraid. They let LJ take his place!! (Oh I forgot to say Evan asked LJ if he would be Robin today for his Batman party! LJ agreed and wore Evan Robin shirt! Hah!)
Goggles on and ready to go in the ticket blaster!
All locked in the tube with tickets all over the ground, and then air starts blowing up and all around! The kid is supposed to get as many tickets as he can, but it's not easy as it seems! They are little and flying everywhere!
In true LJ form, he quickly figured out a way to work this situation! He simply laid his hands flat and let tickets fly into them, and then slowly collected them as the rest blew all around!
Good job LJ! You always impress us!! :)
And now a little fun photo-ops!
Kate and her lollipop!
Saying good-bye and thank you to the mouse... Evan wouldn't get near him!!!
Home to open gifts... LJ is Evan's big helper ;)
(notice Evan has already changed from 'Batman' into 'Longhorns')
Thanks to all our dear friends who were able to celebrate with us!!! And thanks to those that couldn't be there but still sent love!!!
