El Paso Trip August 2015
Our second fun and full week in El Paso this summer... Loved it and so happy we got to go!
Gigi and Capi made this trip possible by coming to pick us up! The boys were so so excited to get to fly on their jet- LJ woke up and immediately put his bag pack on to 'practice' walking around the airport with it!
On the plane and ready to go!!!
Take off....
A visit from Gigi... she and Evan got very into a few puzzles!
Ellie was so excited to get out of her car seat...she is over that thing!!
I love that my face in the mirror is photo-bombing this picture!! Haha!
Then the boys each got a turn to fly right seat with Capi for a little while!
In El Paso- our first stop as always is the grocery store! Have to get food for all these monkeys!
Skyping with Dad and telling him about his day.... both boys were so excited to talk to him!!
Swimming with Grandma! We got to spend a lot of time with Grandma in the pool this week, and the boys loved every minute! We would go in the morning during Ellie's morning nap (Gigi would stay with her while she slept).
Such special time with their Great-Grandma!!!
We wore these boys out ... Poor Evan wasn't very into napping, so he fell asleep in the car a few times! I am trying to be more lenient on vacations!
Lunch with Uncle Willie, Grandma Rachel, and Uncle Willie's boys!
Had to take a selfie with my selfie stick!!
Ellie loved Uncle Willie!
A fun and wonderful evening at Aunt Patsy's house!
Cal and Ellie!
The boys had Oreos and milk!!
A wonderful surprise visit from a very old and dear family friend, Donna and her grandson! I have known Donna since I was born, and she was my dad's secretary for many many years! What a special surprise!
Peter Piper Pizza with friends for lunch! Have to go at least once every time we are here!
Grandma helped me keep Ellie eating and entertained while we were there!!
Funniest part of the day... as we are siting around the table catching up, LJ came running up excitedly yelling, "I'm a big winner!!! I'm a big winner!!" We turned to find him holding the over 500 tickets he had just won from some machine! hahah! Good job buddy!!
They were dragging all around him!!
Gigi helped him carry them to the counting machine... sure enough around 550!! Wow!
LJ showing Ellie his prize vampire teeth!!
A quick trip to the mall... LJ decided he wanted to push Ellie for me! Awesome!!!
Ran into one of Barrett's oldest and best friends from El Paso- Ricky! Had to take a picture to send to Barrett!
Best news... Capi and Gigi are buying a house in El Paso!! We have been over-taking and bombarding them in their 2 bedroom condo for years now (trust me 5 people and all our luggage and everything else in that condo is not easy!!!)... but starting Novemeber-ish we will finally have a house to take over and spread out in!! Yaya!!!! We went to go look at it one morning, and it is great! LJ took this picture of Evan at some point while we were there... found it on my phone later!
Evan was fighting nap, so I told the boys they could watch a movie for a little ... a few minutes later I looked up to see this! Poor tired boy!!
A little evening stroll around Capi and Gigi's street with the kids!
Selfies for dad!!!
Last time to swim with Grandma- since it was the evening, the boys got their shower at the pool and got right into their pjs!
Our last day in El Paso- too soon! We had a few errands to run, and then thought of a place to eat I hadn't been in so many years- G2! It was delicious! Boys loved their food too!
Evan was protesting pictures... Too bad because this is one of the first times I have found truly matching shirts for them!!
Then at the exact time we should have been headed to a bed for Evan and Ellie's nap, we got dropped off at the airport! Ahhh!!!!
Rules while traveling with 3 kids: Boys must be holding hands, touching me, or touching the stroller at ALL times!! It has worked very well!
Boarding the flight... patient boys!
And they did SO great on the plane! They have this routine down- iPads, snacks, games... Thanks boys!!!
And this little angel did very well too! She was a little fidgety, but happy the entire time (despite begin exhausted!), smiley, and making friends with everyone around us!
And when we found their dad, I have never seen more excited boys!!! They both ran up to him and could hardly wait to give him the biggest hugs ever!!! So precious!!!!
Boys helping their dad with the luggage.. Ellie's last 2 minutes of being awake!! Hah!
Good morning from our house!!! Miss everyone in El Paso already!!!
