ISR Weeks 4-6
Well we did it! Six week of ISR lessons complete! I am so happy with the progress the boys have made in ISR! It has been a big commitment to get here every morning for six weeks, but I am so glad we did it!
By week 4, both boys could float on their own! Evan was still working on holding his float and rolling out of it, but LJ LOVES floating and is doing full swim/ float/ swim combos! Here are a few pics from the last weeks of Tiffany working with the boys on floats and roll-overs. Of the 6 weeks, the boys only missed swimming 2 days each- pretty good!
Week 6:
Evan is very good at floating, although he usually gets to the float position the harder way (flips over instead of just rolling). And his swims have more direction. If you launch him towards the steps, he will also swim well to them and get on safely.
LJ can now swim the length of a pool and get himself safely to the side!
This last week, the boys had to swim with summer and winter clothes on so that they would know how it feels if they ever fall in fully dressed. LJ did not like this! He said his shirt 'ballooned too much and it was too hard to swim'. I told him this is why he only should get near the pool when he is in swim clothes, and we are all swimming together!
LJ thought it was pretty funny to see Evan swimming in his clothes!

LJ didn't like it as much when it was his turn though!
Evan did better and seemed to mind less- even when Tiffany puts the wet shirt on his face, he just takes it off and keeps floating!
And here are the videos from their last day at ISR- they have come a long way!!
