Boys in Austin without Us!

While Barrett and I went to New York, we had a petty elaborate plan in place for our boys! Our nanny Karinna was the main one in charge, but she had class two of the 3 nights we were gone (well we got home at 5:30 pm then last night so really only gone 2 nights). So, Karinna had the boys from 8 am Tuesday until 4 pm, when another sitter Brittni came over to watch Evan for the night.  Karinna dropped LJ off with Aunt Funny for his swim lesson, dinner at Jason's Deli, and then a special event Night out at the Rollingwood Park (where it was rumored a helicopter would be making an appearance!). Karinna then took back over at 10:30 pm on Tuesday night and had the boys all day Wednesday and Thursday until 5 pm.

We planned activities for Karinna to do with the boys every morning (since we all go stir crazy if we don't get out of the house!). So on Tuesday, she took them to the park, to get Evan a haircut, and then to a neighborhood toy store where they love to play!

Love Evan's hair (asked her to get him a Mohawk for his birthday!), but he was approaching his nap time and apparently got a little cranky towards the end of the haircut :(

Evan fell asleep in the car, and when he woke up they went to a neighborhood toy store for story time and to listen to a kids musician that plays there every Tuesday. Karinna said both boys loved it... and Evan kept trying to get on stage with him!

Mesmerized!

Karinna took LJ to swim, and stayed to watch (she said she was really impressed with his swimming- she hadn't seen him swim in over a month!).

Here are pictures from LJ's evening with Aunt Funny- after swim they met The McDonnells at Jason's Deli, and after that they all joined up with Dads and the Edwards at the night out at the park...

Then to Robinsons to bath with Eagle Jr before they took him home...What a fun night for LJ!
***THANK YOU SO SO MUCH AUNT FUNNY AND UNCLE E FOR LETTING LJ PLAY WITH YALL ALL NIGHT!!!! And thanks to everyone else that helped watch him (Sang, Mark, Edwards)... really- was amazing to know he was having such a fun night and in such great hands!!

Wednesday morning Karinna took the boys to story time at a nearby library! She said they both really enjoyed it!

Then on Thursday morning, I scheduled a make-up music class for them (we go to Spanish music class every Friday, but missed last week because LJ was in Gymnastics camp).  LJ has always loved music, but Evan has just started getting into it lately (and our Friday class is right when he usually naps so he is always a little out of it). Karinna said Evan loved the drums most! Evan will be in music class this fall while LJ is in school.

We got home during dinner on Thursday... yay!! The boys had a full 2.5 days, took great naps all 3 days, and slept pretty well both nights we were gone (to bed before 8 and slept through the night but up around 7 both mornings).  Thanks to everyone who helped keep them entertained- I can't even begin to say how much it meant!! And we are so happy to be home with them again!!

(Also, thanks for all the pictures Karinna, Sang, and Laura! We so enjoyed getting them- and then having them to share!)
