Evan's first steps

September 30, 2013

Evan took his first steps on September 18- just after his 13 month bday!! In the last 2 weeks, we have seen up to 10 steps in a row- but he is still not in a big hurry to walk alone! He want's to walk all over the house- all over every where- but he really wants to hold at least one hand while he is doing it! As soon as you let go, he drops down to floor. I have tried tricking him and getting him to hold a marker or something else instead of my finger, but it really doesn't work very well- he can tell when I let go, and then he just drops! He does love walking though... he is so happy when he takes steps and loves a big hug when he gets somewhere! I expect he will take off very soon! LJ took his first single steps a little sooner (right before his 1st bday), but he didn't really walk around until after he was 14 months. We will see how quickly Evan gets there!! Here is the first video I have gotten (I am always too busy cheering and catching to get it on video!).....

Trampoline Park

Went back to Trampoline Park on Sunday... LJ has gotten so much better and more confident - guess all the practice time on his little trampoline is paying off! Still so much fun for Dad... And the Mamas finally get in on all the fun! Last time we went I was VERY pregnant and couldn't jump... but not this time! I see a frequent Sunday family outing in our future! A little sliding time... And video gaming! Too much fun!!

January 2014- Randoms

Here are my cell phone randoms from January... It was a great start to 2014! Crazy weather with 2 no-school days from ice, boys developing a real friendship, loving playing together, and lots of family time. LJ keeping me company in our gym while I run on the treadmill- working hard! LJ playing his first board game- Shoots and Ladders (a Christmas gift from the Robinsons). He likes it- but could be a little frustrating if you are a stickler for the rules! Evan busy pushing a cart up and down the halls at WHPP as we wait to pick up LJ from school. Silly at snack time.... A trip to Laura's library (named after Laura Bush)... always fun! My little readers! They both sat here by themselves and opened books! LJ showing me his pick! LJ loves the statue of Laura Bush reading to kids- it's the first thing he asks about when I say we are going to the library (can I sit with the lady ready to the kids)!
