Big Brother, Little Brother shirts

Image
I am so excited to put our boys in matching clothes as often and as long as I can get away with it... here is the first of many (I hope)! LJ's new pose- hands in his pockets- so funny! He is staring at his first big rainbow (I think!)!

Happy Birthday Dylan

Image
LJ's friend Dylan turned two this week, and we got to celebrate with him at his party on Saturday. Happy Birthday Dylan!!! And LJ and Eagle had so much fun swimming- well splashing each other!

A Day with Thomas the Train

Image
We made it out to Burnet, TX (about an hour away from our house) this morning to take a ride on Thomas the Train! For those who aren't familiar, Thomas the Train is a kids cartoon on TV - and there is a life-sized 'Thomas the Train' that tours the country for kids to ride.  We got to ride with our friends the McDonnells (Sang, Mark, Ben and Kate)...  LJ and Ben on their dad's shoulders! Thomas is in the background... LJ and Ben (LJ taking over poor Ben's seat!) Enjoying the sights! Time to give the conductor our tickets! Group shot! Ready to go! Evan slept through his first train ride! And then he had to do some coloring.... right in the middle of the hall floor! This little guy never woke up! LJ and Ben blowing the train whistle!!

Halloween cat

Image
LJ helped me put a few Halloween decorations out today, and he especially loved this cat- just his size!! He talked to it, hugged it, and told me all about what the cat was doing/ wearing! It was really funny! Hug! - The Wood Family

Evan this week

Image
After saying Evan doesn't smile as much as LJ did, I must say the little guy has done his best to prove me wrong all week! I still haven't gotten a great picture of his precious smile (never seem to have my phone/ camera at right moment), but I promise one will be coming soon! Here are some missed attempts at a good picture- still has the smirk but I didn't get his full smile! At what I would guess a little over 10 lbs, our little Evan has officially moved out of newborn clothes and into 0-3 months- glad because we have so many cute things we are excited to put him in!! Last night in newborn jammies: On to all the cute clothes! Not sure the picture does this moment justice, but I just love how tiny Evan's little body looks on Barrett! He loves sleeping on his dad!! First time in the bumbo... - The Wood Family

Back to Jack Allen's

Image
Resumed another tradition with Queenie and Grandad tonight, Monday night dinner at Jack Allen's... Was delicious and so nice to be back! Evan got to spend most of the dinner in Queenie's arms- thank goodness she is good at eating with one hand! And LJ was his entertainig self- practiced his 'buzzing' while using crayons as antennas (a trick from music class)... Decided to attempt a new way to eat catch-up after running out of fries to dip into it... "Drink it!" gross! And after dinner had fun with Eagle Jr... And introduced him to his baby brother! LJ leading Eagle over to Evan...so cute! "This is Baby Evan, Eagle!" LJ showing Eagle how to rock him... Eagle's turn! Another great big brother in the making (Eagle's little brother will be joining us very soon!)... Back to rocking- thank goodness Evan likes to be rocked pretty vigorously! - The Wood Family
