El Paso Summer 2016 - Last weekend and homeward bound

Saturday I got to celebrate the upcoming arrival of a new Chagra Baby- Harper Lee is expected early August, and we can't wait to welcome her! So happy for Leader!

Saturday, while I was at the shower, Barrett arrived back in El Paso!!! Yay!!! We were really missing him!!! And as a very special treat, Gigi and Capi gave us tickets to the Chihuahua's game. We got Elizabeth to watch Ellie as we would be leaving close to her bed time and just took the boys.

Evan was so excited!!! SO EXCITED! He kept asking if we could start going to the game (all day long- like it was the first thing out of his mouth when he woke up!). So finally, I said, "Evan, when that clock says  6:30, we will leave for the game." He said, "OK! Well then I will just sit here and wait!!!" He stayed staring at that clock for about 10 minutes before he got bored! But the smile never left his face! LOVE his enthusiasm!!!
Still there!

At the game!!! Great seats and happy boys!!

The boys each ate TWO hotdogs! Whoa!!!

After fun time in our seats, we headed to a friends box to say hi! The boys were the only kids there, but they didn't mind! They had so much fun! Love Chihuahua games!!

Sunday morning we headed to a park with cousins for one last family get together!

Aunt Patsy and her great nieces and nephews... and even one great GREAT niece, Lovett!!
How awesome!
The men!!

First attempt at a group shot... missed some faces so....

Second attempt! Success!!!

Post-nap swim at Grandma's pool!
Splashing!

Ellie loves scooting into the water from the ledge...

The boys were so happy to have their dad there!!!
Sunday night we had a great dinner with parents, Grandma, and Aunt Sandy... and this is the only picture I got! Boo!!

Monday morning, we got up and hit the road right around 6:50 am! The kids were excited to get home and did great on the drive!

Bella did a lot of snoozing on the drive! Haha!
How many drinks can Ellie hold at once!

Someone didn't want a picture taken... sorry B! You're stuck with me ;)
Our first stop was almost 4 hours in at Fort Stockton. Barrett dropped us off at the McDonalds with a huge playscape while he filled up on gas and walked Bella a little. We've stopped here before, and the boys remembered this McDonalds well!  Perfect amount of a stretch and play time!

Ellie is always trying to keep up with her brothers!! Always!
Then I showed her the slide for someone her size... she was very excited to find it! Down she went...
 Over and over again!

Evan's turn in the big ball thing!
Nap time!! Surprisingly, Evan stayed awake and the other two got naps! LJ never naps unless he accidentally falls asleep in the car!
Then just as we got back on I10 after our stop, we heard a terrible noise under the car. A piece of my car underneath the front bumper had come loose, and it was scraping along the road! It was awful! So  after a quick stop on the side of the road to give it a very temporary fix, we put on our hazards, exited as soon as we could, and found a place to by duck tape. And my handy work (although embarrassing looking) got us all the way home!!! This piece had to be completely replaced after we got home, but at least it worked for the drive!
Back on the road!! We made one more fuel stop a couple hours later, had a quick bathroom break for all, checked the tape (which was holding up), and were back on our way!
I know this one is blurry, but I love the boys' faces!

We got home right just before 5 pm! The drive was slightly longer than expected, but everyone did great! Miss our El Paso family already, but it does feel good to be home!!
Loved our time there as always!!!
