Camp Funtopia: Nature Camp 2016... Ellie's first summer Camp

I signed the boys up for a summer camp that is held at their new school from last spring, HOPE Presbyterian Preschool. The camp was not affiliated with the school, just held there.

Then a couple days before the camp started, the director called me and asked if I wanted Ellie to come along too! The age requirement was actually 2 years old, so I hadn't even considered it (Ellie won't be 2 until October), but they said they would make an exception since she is going to school there in the fall. I thought this would be a great chance to get her acquainted to the school and see how she does.  So Monday morning, I dropped all three of my babies off at Camp Funtopia- Nature Camp!

Can't believe all three get to be here!  The boys were so excited to have Ellie with them and promised to take great care of her (and I got wonderful reports that they did!). All the kids were basically hanging around each other, although they would separate by age for some activities. But I think this was the perfect 1st camp experience for Ellie- she had independence, but also had her brothers near-by at all times!

LJ being such a good big brother and helping her get her back pack put in the right spot!
 How cute...

Happy kids at pick up!

Day 2... everyone still happy and having fun! Yay! And Ellie is making home awake and taking a great nap. I am feeling better about her starting Moms-day-out this fall!

Day 3... Now she acts like she owns the place! Haha! Walks right in and gets busy playing! A group of about 6 older girls (about LJ's age) have totally fallen in love with her and have been taking care of her every day! So lucky and funny!
Day 4... Evan is getting worn out and wouldn't smile for the picture! He goes straight to his bed when we get home and takes a longer nap than Ellie most days!

Drop off on the last day.. happy campers!

Pick up... Ellie has the system down and insists on holding all her own stuff! Thanks Ellie!

 They made nature crowns!

LJ wasn't quite as into his... but still wearing it!
A few final pictures of the kids in their crowns...  being silly!

Loved Camp Funtopia: Nature Camp! They made bird's nests with pine-cone birds (see picture below), had scavenger hunts, made wind chimes, had nature walks, and at fun snacks like dirt and worms (gummy worms and chocolate pudding), sticks and bugs (pretzel sticks and raisins), play in season bins, made huge nature paintings, and so much more!

We are doing one more Camp Funtopia in July, and I am excited and hopeful the kids enjoy it as much or even more!
