Ellie's 1st Birthday and Party
We had a very small but fun celebration for our precious one year old. She didn't have quite the morning set up the boys got for their birthdays (with all the presents waiting on the table when she came down), but (thanks to Aunt Sang) she did have her huge '1' balloon waiting for her when she woke up! And she loved it and played with it all morning!!
A poster board of Ellie's weekly pictures- I took them every Thursday (well almost all- a few scattered Fridays!) for her entire first year of life! (Blog with each picture posted to follow!)
We had a Mini-Mouse 1st Birthday party for our little Ellie Grace!
I decided dinner at our house would be easiest since Ellie would be most comfortable there and able to crawl around as much as she wants. And then she could go straight to her bath after a messy cake smash!
Evan showing us the cake and cup cakes....
Boys playing piano with their cousin!
Ellie wanted to walk around the house holding hands... it's her new favorite!
Dinner time...
All the kids eating dinner (Pizza and fruit)...
Love all these precious faces!
Time to sing Happy Birthday!
Dad may have helped blow out the candle just a little! Had to keep it far enough way that she would grab it!
She started out pretty uninterested in the cake- especially eating it! She began playing with it a little, but was making a sort of grossed out face! Hah!
Charley was trying to show Ellie- she did this just a few weeks ago and is a pro now!!
I tried to give her a bite with the spoon but she refused it several times!
I think Lori finally got her to get a taste of the icing, and then she was into it!! Finally!!!
Lauren and Ellie!
All cleaned up and ready for pictures with a few of the guests!
Aunt Bean and Uncle Kirk!
Uncle Mark and Aunt Sang...
Cousin Katherine Grace!
We had a request to open some gifts... Ellie has actually been enjoying opening gifts!
Pink toys from the Benzons!!! We don't have any pink toys so this is exciting!
Kate and Ellie!
Girl books from the McDonnells- we love these!!!
All the kids were very helpful to Ellie while opening her gifts!
And of course, I had to get a photo of all the guests celebrating Ellie's first year! Thanks so much to those that were able to be there!!!
