Ellie the 7 Month Old
Already 7 months old! Here are the monthly updates!
Sleep:
About the same- Ellie sleeps through the night every couple of days, and if she doesn't, she just up once for a quick feeding then right back to bed!! She usually goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes between 7 am and, if she got up in the middle of the night for a bottle, sometimes as late as 9 am!
She is still sleeping in the pac and play in my closet at night, and napping in her crib upstairs every day- but 2 nights before her 7 month bday, we finally moved her to her crib at night! Yay!! I think she will be much more comfortable there!
She loves her pacis (2 are kept in her bed only), puts them in and out of her mouth as she pleases, and has a blankie in there that she loves to snuggle with!
She still takes 2 naps a day. The morning one is 30 mins (if we are on the go) to 2 hours long (if we stay home) and the afternoon nap is usually 2-3 hours long.
Eating:
Ellie has 4-6 bottles of formula a day (usually around 24 ounces in a day) with an occasional bottle of breast milk (I have 2 left now!).
We started the month with 2 meals a day, and now she eats 3 meals most days. She LOVES finger foods and feeding herself, so I have been trying to give her many options on her tray! She can chow down! She eats mostly pouches now (opposed to my home made baby food) as the variety is so much better than I could do, so food on her try is a perfect addition!
Other Milestones:
She is getting vocal and shrieking a LOT-and loudly!! But no real words (not even a good 'baba or dada) yet.
She sits very well, and occasionally gets down to her tummy from sitting. She also likes her tummy more and will turn/ scoot in circles to reach her toys. But she is no where near crawling from what I can tell! Maybe she will be like her brothers and crawl after she's 10 months old!!
She has now been to the church child care and gym child center, and has done wonderfully in both!! Not a tear or complaint! Thanks you my sweet Ellie!
We are starting to get some better laughs- but usually she is just happy and smiley!! She rarely cries and is just as sweet as could be!!!
