September Randoms

Here are all the 'other' pictures from September ...

LJ wearing Evan's shoes around the house... I think this made me laugh harder than when he wears Barrett's huge shoes!

Target-- Lady in front of us signed up for a Target credit card, so I told LJ to relax because it would be a while. He went ahead and took a seat on the ground, grabbed a magazine, and started looking up some fun holiday recipes for me! Ha!

LJ practicing his peace sign in the tub...

Happy brothers playing at the park (thanks for picture Karinna!)...
A tiny turtle I found on the trail while running... he was so cute, I almost brought him home with me for the boys...

Often times LJ will sit in his bed playing and reading - for minutes or up to 2 hours sometimes- before either finally falling asleep or until I go get him! He rarely complains... he will just go get books and read in bed, or go read by his book cases, or lay on his back in bed and sing loudly (often in spanish!). I used to worry that he wasn't getting enough sleep, but now I think it is fine with me if he doesn't actually sleep as long as he rests for at least 2 hours... and then he just gets an earlier bedtime!
Post nap fun...
Barrett finally has the son that will sit on the couch with him and watch sports... Evan loves to do this (LJ still won't sit there for as long as Evan happily does!).
LJ would prefer playing in his toys!
Evan is still not walking! But he stands - while holding on to things- all the time and is getting close! In fact, I know he could (because he is barely holding on to me), but he just does't have the courage to try while not holding on...
Sept 10
At the play ground at WHPP (LJ's preschool) for Family Fun Night (Sept 12)

This is how I found LJ at the gym.. he has so much fun there lately - all my himself! Hope he continues to enjoy it!
Random lunch break at the McDonnells- and LJ's first time to have Chick-fil-a for lunch (Barrett was jealous!!)
The Woody in his lap is the first thing he asks about when I mention going to Ben's house- he wants one so badly! 3rd birthday coming up!
Evan liked his lunch!

Signing please...

Thank goodness for mother's like Sang that embrace huge messes better than I do... LJ was having so much fun dumping noodles and rice all over the floor (allowed in their house- Ben apparently does this all the time to his 'sensory bin'!)

Ice cream crazies!!!

Happy little monkey

Barrett and I decided to take a break from watching TV at night and do a puzzle... I may have gotten a little obsessed- but it was so fun! Worst thing was that when we finished, there was ONE piece missing (around the lower right corner)! UGH- we were going to frame our first puzzle together... guess not!!
We started Evan's music class a few weeks ago, and he loves it!!  He only gets upset when I have to take whatever 'instrument' he is playing away!

Poor Evan got a little virus on Sept 20th... We are pretty sure it was Adenovirus - it has been going around and his symptoms matched up... So we spent the weekend letting Evan rest and get over his fever... Sunday morning was his last fever, and he handled the whole virus like a champ overall! He had sick eyes, was very needy, but otherwise was pretty happy!

Evan LOVES going up stairs- he will do it over and over again! And if he can't get to our staircase, he will settle for the little step up to the fire place. We will definitely need to find a way to block him from him before winter!

LJ building with magnets...

Evan out for a cruise!

Silly boys playing! I just love how they are really starting to interact with each other, laugh with each other, etc... it is so cute! Evan thinks LJ is THE funniest person in the world! No one can make him laugh as much!

Evan attempting to chew on my iPad... maybe we will get more teeth at some point?! (still only has 2!)

A shot of Evan in his Tech shirt for Queenie and Grandad!!
LJ is absolutely obsessed with movies and games on the iPad... Ob-sessed!!
"Cheeeeeeeese!"
Off to Dylan's 3rd birthday party...
Eagle and Locke... a rare moment when Locke isn't laughing/ smiling!

Boys playing in the sand (actually a volleyball court but they had no idea!)
Eagle busy digging!

Evan holding on to Aunt Funny's finger... pants had to come off because he poured water on them- twice!! Monkey!!
It takes LJ about 2 minutes to make a HUGE mess in their play area down stairs... his new favorite thing is to dump every basket and Tupperware over completely and then decide what to play with! Ugh!

Showing me all the stamps he put up his arm in about 5 seconds as I was getting his water!
This is actually the first time I have seen Evan just standing there all by himself! LJ actually yelled to me "Evan is standing Mom!" I grabbed my camera and came over, and he was still standing! Good one Evan!
My silly boys!

Evan's favorite sign is 'Please'... he does it all the time, for everything! So cute!

LJ loves reading... he will sit for the longest time flipping through pages, talking to himself (often repeating the story in his own words).. so precious!

Evan still loves his bottle of milk first thing in the morning and before bed... he starts laughing and signing PLEASE as soon as he sees it... he LOVES milk so much... more than he ever liked his formula!
And now LJ has to have/do everything Evan gets ... so this night he laid a blanket out to look like Evan's pillow and drank milk out of a sippy cup (funny how much he wants milk now after about a year of not drinking much of it!)

Cute picture LJ's teacher at St Davids took of his class... Ben and Eagle Jr are in this class with him (best part!).

Evan has been on a big "Aunt Sang" kick! He cries for her every time we see her and wants her to hold him... pretty cute!
Both boys have been requesting cereal every morning for breakfast... cherrios! They are obsessed! And Evan is doing great eating his with a spoon...

Before picture of a metal bench in our front yard....
After I spray painted the bench and little table black... think they look much better!
LJ helped me- and then tested it out for me... he said he liked sitting there! We also spray painted him his first pet rock!
Well, the day after my blog about LJ giving up his paci, we gave him a paci with a big slit in it... He had been making a huge mess in his room (not mean mess, just keeping himself quietly busy) every day that week instead of napping. So we decided sleep was a little more important! First nap time he had a paci back he stayed in his crib, fell asleep within 30 mins of us leaving him, and he slept almost 3 hours! Hmmmmm... what to do now!?!
