LJ's 1st Day of Preschool

LJ did great at his first day of preschool at WHPP!

I have seen so many pictures with this concept, and love the idea! I wish I had included his favorite sport (which he has informed me is basketball!), but I forgot! O well!

This was my first attempt before he went to school. It was crazy at our house and I was pretty rushed while doing it!
Thumbs up for the camera!
A smile for the camera...
With Capi... and insisting on adding his own touch to the chalkboard!
Love this one!
Walking into the building... happy and excited!

Said good morning to his teachers, then headed straight to the kitchen and got busy 'cooking'! I had to call him to get a good bye/ picture! Think he will do just fine here!!
Ran out of time in the morning, so as soon as I got LJ home from school, I quickly tried for one more good photo- this time with a small white board. He was getting tired, and a handful! I begged him to stand and hold the board for just one picture, and he kept refusing, running around, etc... I tried promising him an M&M if he'd smile for me... still protested.  Then I promised him an M&M AND a gummy bear... he immediately turned around and gave me the pose below! Ha!  Nothing like bribing your child for a good photo! I am not proud, but I do think it was worth it! LOVE the pics I got!

Few other things from today:
LJ did great, and I love the school so far.
As soon as I dropped LJ off, I headed to an orientation for parents. They push parental involvement here (you have to join at least one committee and there are so many school events)- and I just love all of that!
And even more importantly, his teacher (and her assistant) seems awesome! She emailed last night to say how excited they were to see everyone and sent reminders of what to bring, had a page full of information for this week and next waiting for us in the class room (songs they'd be singing, books they'd be reading, games, etc), and then she sent an email tonight with several pictures from their day (one of LJ eating lunch at the table with everyone and another of him in a firefighters hat and coat playing! Just like him!), and told us about their day!
Also, LJ pee peed in the potty at school with everyone else! I will be sending him in his undies soon (fingers crossed it finally clicks for him!)...
