Roger the bunny
Now that we are living a little further out in the hill country and by a creek, we will definitely have to get used to more 'friends' around the house. In our month here, we have already seen:
lots of spiders (including one big tarantula that was not alive thank goodness), random worm things, flying insects, found 2 dead birds in our garage, and .... now we have discovered that a bunny family is living in our front yard! We have seen them hopping around- all the way up to our front door, and LJ loves them!
But sadly, yesterday while we playing in the front, I let the dogs hang out in the front with us, and calcy must've found the bunny den. She pulled three tiny bunny babies out into the grass- 2 of them were punctured fatally, but she seemed to have grabbed one by the feet only. I left him in the yard over night hoping his mama would come save him...
But when he was still there in the morning, I bundled him up in a Tupperware with grass and got him to Wildlife Rescue.
We named him Roger.
LJ was so excited about the whole thing- he loved checking on the baby bunny in the yard and went with me every time, and then loved looking at him and even pet him when he was in the Tupperware.
I wish I new how to re-hab him myself because he was so cute!!
LJ saying bye to Roger...
