Moving and... introducing our NEW House!!!

Well, I am sorry for the recent break in blog updates and picture talking.... it has been a very busy couple of weeks for us- because we moved!! We loved our house in Circle C, but had been looking/ discussing moving closer into town for a while- and then we found THE house and had to act quickly. We now live right off Capital of Texas and Bee Caves.... and about 5 minutes from where I lived when I was a little girl! We are also closer to family, especially Barrett's parents and Mama Edie!

And another super exciting thing about our new location is that Barrett's commute has gone from about  45 minutes/ hour each way to SIX minutes!! We have an extra hour+ together every day, and it is SO WONDERFUL!!

So far we love our new house! It has an amazing outdoor living space and several sitting areas, a sports court, workout room, nice size yard, very high ceilings with a very open floor plan... seems just perfect to raise the boys and spend time with friends and family (so please come visit us!!).

MOVING DAYS:
Last night at Casimir Cv (April 5)- Gigi came to help us pack and be with boys during the total chaos (can't thank you enough Gigi!)... We had packers arrive early in the morning, and they managed to get our whole house packed by about 4 pm!

Since everything was packed up in our house (and not unpacked into our new house yet), we picked up burgers and enjoyed our first dinner on the patio of our new house Friday night... Cheers!

Saturday they unloaded all the boxes into our new house, and the unpacking began immediately (and pretty much has not stopped!).
My little helper....
Evan hanging out in their new playroom area...

FIRST WEEK IN NEW HOUSE:
LJ was a little overwhelmed I think, but handled it pretty well. The boys' room were my very first area to tackle- I wanted them to feel like it was their 'home' as soon as possible. I did my best, but I actually think it took a few weeks for LJ to really feel like his room is 'his room'!
Evan didn't sleep great the first night there, but has seemed right at home ever since!

Wish I had taken a few pictures of our house completely filled with boxes (which would help explain the lack in blog posts!)...but here is what every room looked like...SO MANY BOXES!

Barrett spending time with LJ in our new living room.
And with Evan on the couch outside.... Basically where Barrett has spent any free minute since the move!
Gigi came back for a day our first week in our new house- more help! Yay! First dinner sitting at the dining table... Exciting!
Boys were SO happy to have Gigi there- and loved story time with her!!

PICTURES PICTURES PICTURES!

I am sorry for the delay in getting all these pictures out... so to make up for it, I have included a lot!

First, here are the pictures from MLS (which were all of the outside)... so warning- they are made to sell you on the house (which obviously worked for us!).  We feel blessed beyond comprehension.
Front of the house ...
Back outdoor living space...The rounded windows straight ahead are into the master bedroom...
Another shot of outdoor living...  pool to the right and stairs to the yard on the left. (We added a gate with lock on the right side before move in day so boys can't access pool!)
One of the sitting areas- great view and a fire-pit... fun!!!
We have a pool! So excited to swim!

Sitting area overlooking a sports court... this house would not have felt as perfect if we had 2 little girls... but between Barrett (who loves shooting hoops) and the 2 boys, this is extremely exciting for us!
For days when we don't get to the gym, we have our own!

Now for some pictures since we have been in the house and with our furniture:
Outdoor living... one of Barrett's favorite spots!

Bella heading down the stairs to the yard.
Formal dining (and finally a better place for our piano!), but we need to get a table for it! Off the the left of picture is the entrance into the master bedroom.
Entry way...
Living room

There is a sort of weird space off the living room and kitchen - that is perfect for a little play area for the boys! I had a place gated off in our kitchen in our last house that I just loved having (kept toys a little out of the way, and LJ loved playing in there), so I will probably gate this area off in a similar way when Evan starts really moving.
View of kitchen from living room... \

Entry door from garage, powder bathroom to the left of picture, laundry room to the right  top corner, guest bedroom to the right bottom corner, and kitchen behind...

Laundry room door on left and guest bedroom door on right...

Small downstairs guest bed room (but does have it's own bathroom)

Master bedroom with an office off to the side- door out to the pool and windows overlooking the outdoor living...
Master bathroom

Mid-way up stairs....
Upstairs you will find the boys' rooms with a shared bathroom between, a small playroom/ loft, and a media room
Was a media room with previous owners. We have an extra bed set up here for now, and hope to remodel this into a bigger bedroom with it's own bathroom - sometime in the future!!
I am still debating what to do with their playroom/ loft area. I am thinking sports - themed... but will update!!
Boys' rooms still need some work, but we are getting there...
LJ's room... still airplane theme, but we need new decorations (had wall decal stickers in the last house that didn't survive the move!). We also are going to make his bed a toddler bed as soon as we have everything childproofed!
Both boys have glass sliding doors out to a balcony- with an amazing view of the hill country
Evan's room
Amazing view from balcony!

May 1 Update: we have made a lot of progress - with A LOT of help!!- and are just about unpacked! We are loving our new house, and still just can't believe we get to call this place home!
I will post more pictures as we continue to settle in, get organized, and decorate more!
