Welcoming Baby Josephine Claire McDonnell!

A lifetime dream of mine has been to experience the MIRACLE of a baby entering this world... and my absolutely amazing friend, Sang, told me that she would let me be there when her 4th baby girl entered the world! I never thought it would actually work out- she has VERY fast labors, and I moved 30 minutes away from her hospital NOT in traffic, and I could see 100 things that may prevent me from being there! BUT just the genuine offer meant so much to me!

So when I got a text at 9:30pm- ish on a Wednesday night from Sang saying that she was having consistent contractions so she just got to the hospital, I jumped right back out of bed and put some workout clothes on (although I did go through the "AHHH what do you witness the greatest of all miracles- a human entering the world!!!??!!"
I was in Sang and Mark's room by 10:30 pm, along with our other wonderful friend Karyn! We actually had so much fun hanging together- the hours flew by (well for me anyway- but I wasn't in labor!). We got coffees delivered around 1:30 am, and had a lot of laughs together! How cute is Karyn!

It was a once in a life-time, precious, amazing experience I will treasure for the rest of my life!!!
Josephine Claire joined us in the room at 3:06 am weighing 7 lbs, 6 oz.  Proud , amazing parents!!!
The delivery was so fast and awesome! I was bawling my eyes out quietly and shaking with joy! One of the nurses in the room said, "That is NOT how is usually goes! Sang is amazing!" I don't know how it usually goes, but I couldn't agree more!!!

We stuck around for Josie's first bath!

And of course we needed a picture together before heading home... I love these girls so much and blessed to have spent such an amazing 7 hours together (and with Mark and our NEWEST girl!!)!!!

And look at that beautiful baby!!
And a picture of Karyn and I with the miracle!

Friday morning I came back- I wanted to bring Sang lunch, and I hadn't gotten to actually HOLD Josie yet!!! Haha!

And then, at 8 days old, Josie went with Sang and I to get a pedicure! Sang and I (along with other moms/ babies at various times) have gotten pedicures with all our nursing babies on our laps ... I can't believe this is the last one! Hah!

She was a perfect angel!!!

Baby and toes!

I am already in love with this beautiful baby girl!!! Congratulations to the McDonnell Family!!!
