New Year's Day 2015
Happy 2015!! I started my day, as all my days since Oct 23, in bed with my little princess! She is excited for the New Year!
And then the McDonnells came over so the boys could do a Polar Bear Plunge! This year they did it in our pool! It was soooo cooooold outside, and drizzly, so we decided taking our new babies to Barton Springs wouldn't be an option this year. Our pool was about 40 degrees, so Sang and I (and my brother who also came to watch!) decided it would be best to take care of the kids and then the men do the plunge for the whole family!! :)
We did have the hot tub heated up, so they would have a quick relief after jumping in the freezing water!
Mark went first... here are the pics:
And then into the warm hot tub!!
And then it was Barrett's turn!!
Happy in the hot tub now... they stayed there for a while and warmed up!
Now for the best part- the pictures don't do the moment justice so Sang made a video of the whole thing... I love it! Thanks for making/sharing! It makes me laugh out loud every time I watch it!
(I love LJ's laugh in the background too!)
Meanwhile, we had a little photo op moment with Ellie and Charley in their New Year's tiaras!
Love Charley's precious face and Ellie's silly smile!!
LJ had to be in one picture too!
Time is flying with this one!
After naps, we headed to Queenie and Grandad's for a good-luck dinner of black-eyed peas and collard greens!
Lauren reading to her cousins Evan and Locke... all the second children!!
Ellie enjoying some qt with Aunt Kelly and Queenie!
Lauren and Ellie!
Barrett and I had a little fun with some selfies! We are pretty good at amusing ourselves!
And Evan got one more story from Grandad before leaving!
Thank you Queenie for making sure we ate all our good luck 'stuff'!
What a wonderful day bringing in a new year! 2014 was blessed beyond belief, and we are excited to see what 2015 has in store for us! Happy New Year!!
Happy NEW YEAR!! We just got your birth announcement and thought I would jump on and check out your blog! How fun! We miss you guys!
