El Paso Trip December 2014
The first morning in El Paso, we got up with nothing really planned so we started calling family and figuring out what we had time to do! We had a few extra minutes before anyone could meet so Barrett and I ran by our old house- the first place we lived together! Fun memories from Los Robles!
Then we went by my Aunt Sandy and Uncle Alberts house- first time for them to meet Ellie!
Next we stopped by Aunt Patsy's for a quick visit!
Since the boys drove down, they brought Ellie's rock and play, and that is where she slept in El Paso! She was in a room with me, and Barrett and the boys were all in the other room.
Sunday night was the big dinner to celebrate Aunt Patsy. Sadly, our entire family fell asleep and took loooooong naps (think the craziness of yesterday/ getting to El Paso caught up to us) so we were late to the dinner :(
But we still got to see everyone and hang out for a while (we stayed out late again)! This is definitely the most off-schedule we have ever been! But it's a short trip, and we wanted to spend as much time with everyone as we could!
Sweet Tricia Ann with Ellie and Evan with Brianna!
Evan calling Santa with the cousins! The kids were in absolute heaven being with so many cousins and getting SO much attention!!
My beautiful Godmother holding a sleeping Ellie! She has gone from arm to arm for 2 days and been a perfect angel!
Love all these faces so much!!
Aunt Patsy feeding Ellie...
And then burping her!
I can't stand the outfit!! Thanks Sang - amazing! And Kelly for the boots! LOVE!!!
Monday morning was family football in the park... I didn't play this year- but Barrett did and had a blast!!!
Barrett and Jacob celebrating after Barrett scored a touchdown!!! Go baby go! He scored 2 that day!!
Then to Starbucks with the whole family!!
Stopped by my cousins Teri's later for a final night with all the cousins... what a wonderful visit it has been!!!
Barrett headed back to Austin early Tuesday morning, so we made it a day of getting to see as much family as possibly! First, we got to spend some time with Grandma Rachel, Willie, Melissa, and their boys!
Grandma Rachel meeting Ellie!
Willie was so excited to hold and feed Ellie! Don't get a lot of guys as you to feed the baby- I loved it so much! And loved getting tips from him- a successful stay-at-home dad with 2 boys like me!
All the boys had a blast outside! We needed some good yard/ outdoor play time!
Melissa holding Ellie...
Attempts of a group shot!
Selfie so I could be in it too...
Think Willie had a better angle!
Then we headed to lunch at our favorite- Farrah's! Aunt Mona, Grandma, and Gigi were there, and everyone got to hold Ellie!
LOVE this one!
Selfies with my Evan!
Attempted selfie of us kissing- not super successful!
Ellie was having a hard time napping, so I laid her on the floor on a blanket! I love when her arm randomly sticks straight up!
After everyone was up from naps, we went to Grandma's for dinner. I was trying to decide where to go, and had a first- I picked up Wienerschnitzel for dinner! The boys had never had corn dogs, but they both really liked them! I asked the boys to pose for their dad and show him what we got... LJ is really into being silly for pictures!
He ate every bite!
Then he played with Grandma!
Grandma found some apple sauce for the boys, and Evan loved it!
Then all too soon, it was time to say good-bye. Had to get a few more pictures of Grandma with her first great-grand daughter!! How special!!
LJ hugging Grandma good-bye... a little too roughly!
Then we made one final stop at Aunt Patsy's to say good-bye there too. Aunt Patsy fed Ellie for me...
And the boys put Auntie Lori to work reading to them!
Wednesday - Christmas Eve- we got up, packed, and headed to the hanger. My parents had to pack there, so Ellie took a nap on the couch and the boys shared a snack (and chair!) while we waited!
Then we entertained ourselves in the hanger for a while!
Plane is loaded and we are ready to go back to Austin! So spoiled traveling on this Capi and Gigi's new plane! We will be home in less than 2 hours... amazing!
This happy little girl's second flight in an airplane!
Boys were so excited!
Holding hands across the aisle!
Lunch time!
A perfect flyer!
iPad time...
