Christmas 2014
We got home on Christmas Eve just in time to change clothes and head to Queenie and Grandad's for our wonderful Christmas Eve dinner!!
Queenie and Ellie by the fire...
Kids table- equipped with antlers!!
Ellie's seat during our dinner! This bouncy chair has been through ALL the cousins! Ellie is the 7th baby to enjoy this thing!
A picture of all of the 'grown-ups' at Queenie's beautiful table! So blessed to be here!
Kate holding Ellie...
I will never get over how little our babies look in Barrett's arms!
Attempted a selfie with Capi and Ellie, but she was too tired! Such a sad face!
One last shot of her precious outfit before bath time!
Got everyone to bed, and then Santa came :)
The boys got both their requests from Santa- Legos for LJ and a big lollipop for Evan! Santa also left a baseball and bat for Evan, and small toys for LJ, little stocking stuffers (flash lights, stickers, etc) and he even left Ellie a little box of board books!
The boys' big gift from us this year were Kindle Fires! I don't know who will love them having these more (us or them!)!
Mozart even made his last appearance in our tree!
CHRISTMAS MORNING!!
Barrett went upstairs to get both boys when they were awake, and LJ raced down the stairs first (while Evan asked to be carried!). LJ was so excited- he ran to the tree and started pointed out all the things he saw!
Boys (all of them- even Barrett) got tents too!! Time to go camping!!
Capi and Gigi joined us to open presents too. Ellie was a perfect observer and happy to be in Gigi's arms and then the nap nanny!!
All smiles for her Gigi!
We only had about 45 minutes to get through our stuff before it was time to head to Queenie and Grandad's house for more!! Santa visits their house too- for all the grandkids!
Ellie took her morning nap in the car seat- I remember both boys looking pretty similar on their first Christmas mornings at Queenie and Grandad's house!
Present opening was chaotic but so fun! The girls passed out all the gifts, and the boys tore them open faster than we could keep up with! I was too busy trying to help to get any pictures after the first few minutes!
Then we had the traditional Christmas morning biscuits, gravy and bacon! Kids table - Locke joined there too!!
Ellie took another snooze in Gigi's arms!
Kids playing new toys!
Then we headed home for naps! What an amazing day already!! We ended it with a fabulous dinner with Gigi, Capi, Joe and the family at our house- can't believe I didn't take any more pictures!
It was such a wonderfully special Christmas: Ellie's first, our first as a family of five, and first time I have been with both my mom, Alan, and brother on Christmas morning in 6 years! I just loved having both our families together! Thanks Capi, Gigi, and Joe for being there, and huge thanks to Queenie and Grandad for letting us all be at hour house!! SO BLESSED!
