Evan the 2 Year Old
Evan had his 2 year well check a little late - well almost a month (we have a very busy doctor!)!
While I have known that LJ was taller than Evan at the same age, I was surprised to find out by how much! Ironically, LJ also had his 2 year well check at almost a month after his birthday, so the comparison was pretty accurate.
Evan 25 month Stats:
Weight................28 Lbs 25-50%
Height................33.5 in 25%
Head Circum.....48.8 cm 75%
LJ 25 month Stats:
Weight................30 Lbs 75-90%
Height................37 in 50-75% ..........Whoa! 3.5 in taller than Evan at same age!!
Head Circum.....51 cm 90%
His well-check went very well! He is doing great in all aspects of his development, physical (fine and gross motor skills), language, and skills. He did not like getting his shots, but he got over it quickly!
Here are some other tidbits about our Evan at 25 months:
Evan is such a precious little person! He was slower to start talking than LJ (and he is still a little harder to understand), but there is nothing this kid won't attempt saying now! He will repeat anything you say or ask him to, chats constantly, and loves singing! He repeats every single thing LJ says (the good and the bad!), and loves his brother so much! LJ is the funniest person in the world to Evan!
Evan also LOVES all balls and sports! He wants to play ball all the time, every day! If we are sitting around the living room, Evan goes and grabs a ball and looks for someone to play with him (unlike LJ who is content reading books, doing puzzles, or playing with his toys on the floor). This kid is an athlete! He has great hand-eye coordination, and somehow looks 'cool' playing sports at only 2 years old! He is also a total lefty!!
Evan loves reading books, drawing, coloring, doing puzzles, etc, but his attention span averages 10-15 minutes with most of these activities. He loves being outside, jumping on the trampoline, swimming, playing in the water table, and insists on going to the basketball court!
He is also a total lover- loves cuddling, hugging, sitting on laps, etc.
Evan is still a good sleeper (always been better sleeper than LJ!). He takes an average 2 hour nap every day- and he usually asks to go to sleep! And He sleeps about 11-12 hours at night. He doesn't eat a lot, but he is usually a good eater! He has had very little issues with separation anxiety so far, and seems to bond quickly with teachers, other kids, etc. He loves school (asks to go most days), and walks right in at drop off (often doesn't even say bye!).
