Our Week
Monday LJ was so happy to go back to school- it had been a while between sickness and vacation, but he happily ran in to the class room and never looked back!
Evan and I made it to our Stroller Strides class at the mall, and we got to see Sang and Kate after for a little coffee break!
Then we had family dinner at Jack Allen's... And guess who made it again?!
Baby Locke!
Evan was happy to sit across from his new cousin!
And LJ and Eagle Jr were happy conspirators at the end of the table!
Evan actually spent most of the meal inQueenie's arms- where he prefers to be!
Tuesday LJ had a great morning at Little Gym- he's really improving on the bars- he got up and walked on the lower bar to the center while holding on to the high bar, then let go and swung all by himself!
He's also improving on the balance beam (going by himself and went backwards today) and on his rolls!
Me and the little one...
Calcy has started to be a little more involved in the boys' days- she often sits much closer than she used to and is more tolerant... Maybe missing Mabel?!
I ended up taking LJ to the doctor on Tuesday because I was suspicious of an ear infection (which was very probable after rsv)... And he did have one infected ear :(. He is now on antibiotics... Doctor said he may have some allergies too, and that using albuterol before bed may help him sleep, so I thought it was worth a try....
He actually liked wearing his 'mask'- but turns out his was a bad idea!!! I think the arbuterol made him hyper and I didn't get him to sleep until 2 hours past his bedtime on Tuesday!! Ahhhhh!!! (Thanks to all my sweet friends for talking me through the night!). He was happy and laughing until I'd try to leave the room- then he'd freak out! Finally just brought him downstairs with me for a while and re -did his whole bedtime routine at 10- and he went down easily!
Resting on the couch while protesting bed...
Wednesday I kept LJ home from school - wanted to let him sleep in and since he has an ear infection and either allergies or another little cold, I figured this was the best call... so we decided to go get his much needed haircut instead!
Before....
He was so excited to get his haircut just to play with the train table they have there! It's the first thing he mentioned when I asked if we wanted a haircut ("Yes! Is Thomas there?")
During...
He picked the Taxi this time- and told everyone that asked the rest of the day that he was in the yellow one- to which I had to explain that he sat in a yellow car while getting his haircut!
After...
He looks so cute!! He did great with the razor again- this may be the shortest we've ever gotten- we will see how long it lasts- this boy's hair grows so fast!
And Evan got his first bowl of butternut squash- he liked it! We have stuck to two meals a day now- one veggie and one bowl of cereal...usually at lunch and dinner!
They are playing together / by each other more and more!
