Corona Quarantine- Week 1

We got back to Cedar Park on Sunday evening, and knew we were getting home to a very different situation than we left! So for us, self- isolation began on Monday morning!! This is actually our official Spring Break week- but we already know that we won't be back in school until April 6 (MINIMUM!).

Monday:
Lj started on (and finished) an awesome lego set he got for his birthday a long time ago! He built the robot, and then coded it to do/ say different things! I think he can continue to adjust which function it performs.
He was SO cute!!

These are the brand new built-ins we got in the office... the plan is to start painting them tomorrow! I have always dreamed of office built-ins, and can't wait to be able to use these!!!

Tuesday- the city has made it official- no gatherings! BUT it's St. Patricks Day, and we still plan to have some fun!! Kids got the shirts they each picked out on, and they even put green on the dogs so they couldn't get pinched!

I couldn't feel luckier to have these precious ones in my life!!!

We went on a 'Social distanced' shamrock hunt (several neighbors made shamrocks and hid them in their windows) and walk with our neighbors (we stayed on opposite sides of the street the whole time!).

Then me made

Kids played on Osmo...

Wednesday: LJ has been asking to learn how to type, so I got him a program to start working on it!
Lunchtime Doodles with Mo Willems!

Set up a tennis net in the back... the kids LOVE IT (especially Evan!!). We have played HOURS of tennis!!

Osmo's Tangram game... another hit!!

Scooting, riding, walking... we are loving the beautiful weather and our daily outing!

More lunch Doodles!

Science - my favorite!! Today we made Sugar Water Rainbows! We talked a lot about rainbows and the order of colors, and then started our discussion on density!

He kept sneaking in sips of the sugar water! hahah!!

Ellie is always helping with my bags!!

Friday: our beautiful weather has left us- it is cold and raining!! So inside activities it is!!

First up,  Flocabulary time... I am learning so much about all they do at school! Boys watched songs that they thought Ellie would enjoy too!

Today is rainy and cold!! SO workout time is going to be LesMill Born to Move... we did 2 of workouts for a total of 26 or so minutes. Kids seemed to enjoy!
 Doodles with Mo Willems again!
Ellie completed her lego set this week and did a puzzle. This weekend we will donate the puzzle and sell the legos so she can get more!

Saturday night Barrett and I got to do our first Zoom Date night... so fun! Grateful for technology and finding ways to stay connected!

Overall, especially considering all the craziness that is going on, we had a wonderful week. Praying for everyone out there, and hope we can make the best of this crazy situation and truly enjoy our time together!
