Lego Fest 2015
The boys and I had the fun opportunity to go to Lego Fest this year! I don't know who was more amazed- but we all had a great time!!! The first thing we came across was the 'Lego Museum' section with huge lego figures (made out of so many tiny Legos!!!). They were seriously amazing!!!
Lightning McQueen!
Ironman!!
A zebra...
Buzz and Woody!!
I attempted a side angle of the legos here... this one blew my mind! I have no idea how they did this!
Jack Sparrow...
The Incredible Hulk (LJ's favorite!!)...
Team of Legofest workers came up and asked if the boys would be in their picture making a super hero pose. Evan took off; LJ got very into it!!!
Spiderman....
A place where you can build your own car and then race it down a huge ramp!
Ben practicing on the small ramp... my boys got bored here, and LJ begged to go look around more.
A cool interactive touch screen and game...
The Lego Friends section... we are not as familiar with these but super cute!
And the Bionicle legos... also new for me but cool!
This was a huge map of the US where anyone could make something to be placed in it somewhere! It was really cool. Boys didn't want to make anything for it... but I couldn't believe how quickly it got filled up!!!
This is the part that just amazed me... there were SO. MANY. LEGOS!!! A huge field of them, over a foot deep! So crazy!!!
Happy LJ!!!
Evan and I working on our tower!
Evan moved on to messing with my hair...
I loved the concept of this picture...
But as you can see from Evan's face, it wasn't actually very comfortable!!! Legos are not soft or relaxing, and it actually hurts to lay on them! Haha!
So we tried again with him mostly on top of me!
The final treat... we got to go to the Lego store and pick out one thing each!! LJ found a pretty big Ninja Turtle set (thankfully on sale!!), and Evan picked out a little keychain (although I don't think he realized that's what it was!).
Home and straight to work!
LJ has said that his favorite part of Lego Fest was getting to sit at the table and do his new Legos with his dad!!! Well, if that doesn't melt a heart, I don't know what does!!! How cute are they!!
And I remembered my selfie stick!!! Yay!!! What a fun time!!!
