Ellie the 6 Month Old

It's been wonderful month with our sweet girl!

Sleep:
Ellie has started sleeping through the night occasionally (maybe 1/3 of the time), and if she doesn't, she is usually just up once for a quick feeding then right back to bed... HUGE improvement!! I can almost see consistent sleep in my future! She is still sleeping in the pac and play in my closet at night, but naps in her crib upstairs every day. We have planned to move her up there as soon as she doesn't need us to p the paci back in her mouth and sleeps through the night without needing us- so will probably start trying it out next week!
Her bedtime is about 7:30 pm. Also, she loves her blankie!
She also still takes 2 naps a day. The morning one is 30 mins (if we are on the go) to 2 hours long (if we stay home) and the afternoon nap is usually 2-3 hours long. She is a very good sleeper overall (in my humble opinion!)!

Eating:
Ellie had a least 1-2 bottles of breast milk almost all days until she turned 6 months. I am now done pumping, and she has about 15 bags of breast milk left in the freezer!
We started the month with 1 meal every day or 2, and now she eats 2 meals a day. About 2 weeks into the month she finally grasped 'eating'... and now she loves her food (before she mostly spit it out!). I took eating applesauce for her to want to chow down!
She has now eaten: rice cereal, sweet potato, avocado (the only thing she hasn't liked!! Similar to LJ!), apples, bananas, butternut squash, zucchini, pear, and broccoli... She has also had mum mums (which she loves and eats like a lollipop!). She is pretty good at picking up food and putting it in her mouth... we will try puffs and similar 'finger' foods soon.
It will be a full month adding food to the list!

Other Milestones:
Within days of turning 5 months she rolled the other way (tummy to back), and then a couple days after that started sitting for 4-5 minutes at a time.
A week after turning 5 months, she became a regular 'sitter'! She doesn't fall over very often at all any more- so nice!!
She grabs things much better now, and can put the paci in her own mouth (if it's close enough for her to find!).
She laughs but usually not very hard yet! It's like she hasn't learned to let it out!
She is getting very vocal, but we haven't heard any distinct 'words' (ma, da, ba, etc).
She can put the paci in her mouth by herself, and she pushes her own sound machine button in her crib!

Other notes:
Ellie had her first fever and taste of tylenol this month when she got a little cold/ cough. The fever only lasted about a day, but the cough lasted a little longer.

Comparison: Evan on left and LJ on right...

And here they are now!

 Ellie LOVES dogs!!!

I wish I had gotten ONE picture with all three looking! O-welll- I guess this is the reality!! Haha!

One more of Evan at 6 months! I really can't decide who she looks like- a pretty good combo of the two boys!
