LJ's last day of Little Gym

LJ has been going to the Little Gym (toddler gymnastics) for a year now, and while we have seen a lot of improvements in his skills, we will be taking a break from the class. It really doesn't work with our summer schedule, but I know he will miss his friends and going! Most weeks, Karinna our nanny takes LJ - it's a nice bonding time for them and gives Evan and I some alone time too. But the last few weeks I have taken him, and enjoyed seeing how he has grown so much and made so many cute friends! All the things I used to do with him, they now do independent of parents (for example, they run/ jump/ warm up in a circle with out parents!).

Sadly, my camera died and I didn't get pictures of his last day:(. But I watch him do donkey kicks, forward rolls, swing on the bars, walk the higher balance beam all by himself and sideways, jump off, do bear crawls across the high bars (impressed me the most!), and more! I was also really happy to see how well he listened to Ms. Kate, his teacher, and followed directions! The class starts with each kids running into the middle of the circle when called, introducing themselves, and doing a trick of choice. When called, LJ runs to his teacher, then faces the class and yells "I'm LJ!" very loud and clear, does his donkey kick, and then comes racing back into my lap for a big hug! The last class ended with each kid running up to a tall folded mat, climbing on it, picking out a ball/ trophy and then saying "Ta da" very loud while throwing their arms up! Very cute stuff!
