A few pictures from the end of the week....

Evan is getting much better at eating his mum mums (first 'solid' food)... 

LJ has been very into hugging all his friends hello and good-bye lately. Here he is hugging Dylan after a  big group of us met for a walk around the lake. 


And he loves walking and holding hands. .. here he is leading Eagle through Lubys after lunch...

I don't rock Evan to sleep often, but sometimes it's just too wonderful to hold my little baby  and watch him sleep! 
LJ started screaming in his room during nap (hadn't gone to sleep yet), and said he hurt his foot . He was limping around and wouldn't step on it for a minute....
Sure enough there was a little bruise....  I think he got it stuck between the bars of his crib.
We iced it, gave it a kiss, and then he went back down for a long nap!

He picked his own outfit - hat and all! 
LJ's first gum ball! I kept trying to tell him it was JUST a ball- but he figured out that it was tasty so I had to take it away (choking hazard!)

LJ is climbing much better these days... 
And goes down big slides all by himself! 

Saturday the Robinson boys came over for dinner, and Barrett was so excited when Eagle Jr pulled up a chair and sat down next to him to watch the game!! So cute!!  



Then the boys played outside for a while... sliding, throwing rocks, found a lizard, played with balls... great evening!

A Visit to the El Paso Zoo- Our first time!

We started out the year with a family outing to the El Paso Zoo- and my good friend Sara, Ava, and Oliver joined us!  Oliver and Ava had been there before so he was our tour guide!  We were pleasantly surprised by how many great animals were there! We will definitely be going back! Lots of zebras- and they were hanging ostriches... LJ just observing while Gigi points things out... Oliver and LJ checking out Zebras... Ok the giraffes were definitely MY favorite- watching them drink water was so funny (and a little sad!)...  Gigi, LJ, and Ava looking at the funny little animals... Just funny... Lobos!! The world's largest rodent- gross! Looking at the reptiles... There were also lions, tigers, lots of birds, sea lions, and more!! Think we had more fun than LJ- but hopefully he will be more excited every time we go!

Fun with Christmas gifts!

We got the new fun game for Christmas called Pie Face- and the point is basically to keep turning a knob (as many times as you spin) until someone gets the 'pie' (pile of whip cream) in their face.   LJ had been dying to play and asked all the time- Evan was also very excited, until he saw what this was about!! Then not so interested! So LJ went first!!  Here is some video from our game...  http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=2hLYeaneyOI Poor LJ had the worst luck!! He got hit with the whip cream 3 times in a row- and after only a few turns of the knob each time! He took it like a champ though! Too funny!  Barrett's turn!  No pie in his face! Celebrating! His next turn... got him on the second turn! LJ LOVED this!  I don't know how, but I managed to turn that thing about 30 times without getting hit with the whip cream! But I was ready for it!  Evan refused to play- and actually didn't like us play...

Ellie's 2 Week Well-Check

 Ellie is two weeks today!! And when I took her clothes off in the morning for her two week appointment, I was surprised to find her umbilical cord was gone!!! Yay (and finally!)! Although I still have no idea where it went (gross!). I am thinking maybe it fell off when I changed her diaper in the middle of the night - and maybe the dogs found it (gross again!). But at least it's gone!! Excited to start giving better baths, any outfit, etc without having to worry about the cord! Overall, we had a very positive 2 week appointment! Dr. Hargrave said she seems to be doing very well, looks very alert (she was awake during the entire appointment!), and is even on the advanced side of the number of expressions she makes (maybe she will be an early smiler!). The only mild concern was that she had not gained her birth weight back yet. BUT the doctor said not to worry yet since she seems to be happy and doing well otherwise, and we will talk more at her 1 month well check. She h...
