More special moments from LJs birthday weekend
What a wonderful birthday weekend for our little 2 year old- and 2 month old! Gigi was at our house ready to play by the time we got back from our Sweet Berry Farm excursion on Friday! THANKS SO MUCH FOR COMING GIGI!!!!
And then Uncle Joe came over to make us a delicious dinner and help out together new gifts - with LJ's help of course!
Saturday morning started with a great visit from Queenie, Grandad, Kate and Lauren! LJ got some wonderful gifts and and a little playtime with his cousins!
Then off to the Farmers market we went to pick out some cup cakes for LJ's birthday party that afternoon...
Starting about the Wednesday before his birthday, I would ask LJ what he wanted for his birthday, and (don't know where this came from) he started consistently answering "A silly hat!". So after the farmers market, off to the party store we went so Gigi could get LJ his silly hat!!
October is the very best month to find silly hats too (halloween time)- so this was quite an adventure!! I think they tried on at least 50 hats!
Checking him self out in the mirror...
Monkey ears were one of his favorites- probably related to his current obsession with Curious George!
Evan didn't get too into the hat shopping! Maybe next year!
But he did enjoy some quality time with his Gigi while his brother took a long nap!
The rest of LJ's birthday was just perfect with a good nap followed immediately by his birthday party at Little Gym... So many pictures we will give it a separate post...but here is a quick picture- he did wear his monkey ears for most of the party!
Evan was happy after such a fun day -celebrating both his brother's 2nd bday AND his 2 month bday! We got lots of cooing and smiles!
And then he fell happily (and hard) asleep in Gigi's arms!
The weekend fun continued on Sunday! We started our day at another friend, Greer's, 3rd birthday party!
And we ended it by opening presents! LJ got very into opening each gift! He wanted to play with everything (which I distracted him from by showing him another gift to open) and got really excited for each new thing! It was very cute and fun!!
And the final celebration for LJ's birthday was at his school on Monday! He took cupcakes or his class, he got to wear a crown and a sticker, and got a special card from his teachers!
Reading his card as we leave his classroom...
Happy little birthday boy!
Thanks to all for making this birthday so special!
