Tball for LJ and Evan, Spring 2017
LJ played his second season of Tball with Cedar Park Youth League (CPYL) on the national teams. It is the most competitive tball league around us, and we were a little nervous about it since he hasn't played long! And in all honesty, we didn't think we had much of a chance doing well as the season started, and we saw our competition! But the 6U Braves team came SO far this season, and we actually ended up doing better than I expected (well, we weren't last, and I saw so much improvement!!).
LJ was #8, and I must say I just loved the way he looked in his uniform!!
Evan and Ellie each has friends that they loved to hang with during practice or games! I really did enjoy our time at the baseball field this spring!
Evan and his soccer buddies (who all have siblings playing tball!).
Ellie and one of her besties, Payton!
Evan was so excited to have his tball uniform still on from his game earlier that day! So cute!!
I love how LJ would wait for the batter to bat in the 'ready-to-take-off-running' position!! He was so cute!
I couldn't believe how much this team improved and how far we came this season!! I am super proud of LJ and the whole team! They worked hard, practiced a lot, and really did great! Way to go Braves!!!
The trophy!!
Proud siblings!!

AND Evan played his first season Tball through I9 Sports. Overall, I have to say the quality and level of instruction did not compare to other leagues we have now experienced with LJ. Each Sunday, they had 30 minutes of practice followed by a 30 minute 'game', but these games were really just a chance for every kid to hit a ball and make a play, until everyone had scored. I found it slightly frustrating to watch as the kids ran around chasing the ball and dog-piling each other for the ball, never even attempting (or understanding) many of the actual rules of the game or how to get someone out,,,
BUT Evan LOVED it! He was one of the best players on the team- probably from watching real tball games and practicing with his dad, and did very well!! He couldn't wait for tball every week and loved telling anyone who would listen all about his games! So, while I didn't love the instruction, I did love Evan's enthusiasm! And even though they only had to wear they matching shirts, Evan insisted on wearing his entire tball outfit, with pants, belt, socks, and cleats, every single week!!
Coach getting their game plan together after their 30 minute practice...
I loved how Evan would always listen to his coach so well (he had just said everyone take a knee, hands on your head).
Warming up....
I got to hang with this precious girl during the hour since Evan and Beckham were team mates!
Game time! Evan on 3rd!
Silly boy!

The end of a hard work!!
