February 2017 Randoms, Part 2

Here are more memories from the second half of February!

Feb 15
Found this handsome guy working at his standing desk one day! This is an impressive operation!

Then we headed to the Philanthropy Day Luncheon hosted by the Austin chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. We got to be the Table Honoree for the Central Texas Food Bank! What a special honor and inspiring lunch! We got to hear the stories of 8 different philanthropists, companies, foundations, and fundraisers as they were recognized for their work in our community.

Cool vase with our names embossed on it and beautiful flowers inside.

Popped into LJ's class and found him with his friend reading books during stations!
Cute kid working hard!!!

It's time for Tball again! LJ has started his 2nd season of tball with the same coach (Chad) as last season, but this spring he is playing in Cedar Park Youth League (CPYL). This league is known to be extremely competitive, and we are playing against teams that have played together for up to 4 seasons now! One of Ellie's friends from school has an older brother on the team, so she has her little friend at practices and games! So cute!
A supportive little brother!
We got to take Rex and Rendin home with us for the afternoon after a Saturday morning basketball game... happy kids!!!

Always moving and crazy- love my Ellie Grace!! :)

The view from our driveway on many evenings! So many kids playing in the pocket park- we really enjoy it!

Uh oh... helmet seems stuck!

This is Evan's favorite outfit right now... he wears it every time it's clean!!
Ellie loves her princess dress (hand-me-down from Eve) - although I think maybe it's a nightgown?! It was not worth the fight to get it off of her today! She is getting VERY opinionated about her clothes!!
As soon as we drop Evan off at school, she has an opinion about where she wants to go! She usually says, "Let's go shopping!" or "I want to go to the gym!" or "Let's go to Target (or Costco)!" These are her favorites! Hah!
Our mornings go quick! Back to HOPE for pickup!

A girl and her Grandad ...

Ellie loves setting up all her Calico critter's furniture- and she's very good at it! Today, she set it up on the arm of Grandad's chair to show him!
Wiggle worm!!!

And she's back!

Spurs game with Queenie and Grandad!! Thanks so much for coming up and staying out so late- we loved having you all there with us!!!
These two are as tall as some of the players!!

Feb 24
Barrett and I snuck in lunch at LJ's school one Friday! So fun to hang with all these kids, and LJ was so happy!

I love LJ's sweet school friends!
LJ had forgotten his book at home, so I brought it for lunch. Since his class went to the Library before lunch, LJ's teacher said we could take him to turn in his book and check out a new one after lunch. It was so cute to see LJ so independent as he deliberately looked for book, used his place holder while he flipped through it, decided on one, and checked it out! Such a big boy!!!

We finally had a friend spend the night!! LJ had been to two sleep overs, but we have never had a friend sleep here with us- until Rendin Stayed after the Romeros came over for dinner one night! It started half serious - we didn't think they would really go to sleep! But they just read to each other for about 20 minutes, and next time I checked on them, they looked like this!!! So cute!!!
Rex was trying to sleep in Evan's room, and it was not quite as smooth! They were both still awake 30 minutes later, so Rex ended up going home and sleeping in his own bed! Poor Evan was so sad!
But he fell asleep as soon as Rex was out of his room... maybe just too much excitement for a 4 year old?!

Breakfast in the morning... cute little guys!
Post basketball game lunch and fun at our house. I love all these boys playing so well together and being so active... some were jumping while others were practicing Tball.... such sporty boys!

Love finding pictures of this sweet face! haha!

Our new church home! After trying several churches when we moved to Cedar Park, we found one church calling us home more than the others. And this weekend, we made it official and became members of Live Oak Church. It's a small, newly planted  Presbyterian church in Leander that several of our friends attend. We have gotten involved, love the community and pastor, and feel it is where God is calling us right now. Barrett has taken a lead in organizing, growing, and facilitating the men's bible study (that meets at 6 am every week!), and I have started volunteering in the children's ministry. This is the first church we have officially joined as a family, and it feel very special to us!
Our pastor, Caz, leading us through our promises as we become members ...
and praying with us!

Sunday afternoon Spurs game with the boys!!! Loving it!!!

LJ and his buddies at school after completely their after school enrichment class- Bricks for kids legos!! He did this on Mondays right after school (at school) for 6 weeks! I was pretty impressed with the concepts they learned, but LJ didn't seem as excited about the class as I expected!

Watching LJ in a Monday night Tball game!
Ellie and her friend Peyton. They are in class together at HOPE, and their older brothers play Tball together! Fun!
These two love their brothers!

Shopping with Ellie... always an adventure!!!
Ellie crashing Evan's playdate with Leo!!! She loves the trampoline as much as the boys!

Good-bye February!!!
